Gen Con Reports Record Number of Exhibitors Certain to enhance attendee experience
SEATTLE (July 8, 2004)‹ Gen Con Indy, North Americaıs largest annual
consumer hobby game convention, announces a new record in companies registered
to exhibit at the show and more are expected. With six weeks until the big
event, Gen Con Indy has nearly 300 exhibitors signed up, and reports a 20%
increase in pre-registrations as well. This is a reflection of the showıs
popularity and the growing prominence of the gaming business.

Upcoming Show Highlights
Upper Deck, creator of the interactive environment True Dungeon‹a huge hit at
last yearıs Gen Con Indy‹is introducing its newest life-size, walk-through
environment, True Heroes. Upper Deck Entertainment is also launching its Pro
Circuit game tournament at Gen Con Indy. The main event at the Pro Circuit will
use the new Marvel and DC trading card games, known as the Vs. System. Top prize
is $10,000.
Wizards of the Coast is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons
at Gen Con with a variety of events, and new games, books and
product like a Dungeons & Dragons retrospective exhibit, a D&D dance
party, RPGA roleplaying opportunities, D&D Miniatures and plenty of
opportunities to meet D&D designers, authors and artists.
Gaming enthusiasts worldwide are marking their calendars for the
much-anticipated Gen Con Indy, the largest consumer hobby game convention in
North America. With more than 25,000 unique attendees each year and more
new-product introductions than any other game convention in the U.S., Gen Con is

Gen Con Indy will be open to the public Thursday, August 19 through Sunday,
August 22 with 24-hour gaming including a LAN arena. The convention will take
place at the Indiana Convention Center, a 620,000 square foot state of the art
facility in downtown Indianapolis.
Attendees must purchase badges to gain entrance to the show. Badge
pre-registration runs until July 12, 2004, noon PST. A four-day badge is $60
with pre-registration, or $70 on-site. A one-day badge is $23 with
pre-registration, or $27 on site. Children 8 and under are free with an
