Breaking the rules is always a good thing, especially in Neopets. >=)

MSPP and Poogle Racer will now have a challenge against villains.  I can imagine this baby on The Darkest Faerie, or better yet, Eliv Thade to make a better Neopet v2.  The only downside I see is the tap.  You might want to use something else with that tap, but c’mon, this thing will protect villains against the Poogles.

Rating: 4/5  Any deck that uses a villain should use this card, unless you can’t find room.

Double-Bladed Staff

Equipment | Weapon

Strength - | Agility - | Magic 3 | Intelligence 2 | Bank 2

To play this, tap one of your Neopets.  When you play this card, you may attach it to a Villain.  While this Equipment is attached to a Villain, when a player rolls against that Villain in a contest, his or her opponent rolls a die for that Villain.

Of all the cards in the upcoming set, this is one of my favorites.  I'm sure there are a lot of others out there who like it too, for one simple reason:  Villain support!

That's right!  This is the first equip card for Villains.  Not only does it beef them up a couple points in Magic and Intelligence, but it also allows the Villain to have a die-roll just like any other rival would.

The only bad news is that Battle JubJub can't bounce this equip back to one of your Villains.  At least Blumaroo Squire can help you get another from your deck.

Ratings:

This card is the perfect addition to any deck with lots of Villains, especially the Villain/Stall decks.  With this, Villains will become a lot harder to beat, which makes a few of them, like the Darkest Faerie, far more powerful.  4.3 of 5

Bank: 2

This is a very, very good card for anyone who uses Villains, and expects them to last in an arena for more than a round (ie. not for Shadow Usul).
First, its stats sit at a measly 3 and 2 in Magic and Intelligence, giving nothing in Strength or Agility (which is odd, as it's a sword-type deal..).
It has a small bank value of 2 and does not have a type cast to it. The only other unfortunate part of the card is that you need to tap one of your Neopets to play it.

However, it rings in as current Villain-helping champion as the first Equipment that a Villain can utilize (unless I'm very much mistaken). Not only will your Villain get that slight raise (very good in the Magic arena), but you will get to roll a die. That will allow you to take the upper hand by rolling a high number, or win the contest by rolling a 6.

4.5/5 - This should definitely see play with most Villains. I can't think of any extreme combos, as it's basically just equip to a Villain and roll a die... Very good card!
