Paul Hagan  *LORD DARIGAN*
Ok, as far as villains go, this one seems like he is near the top of the ladder. The fact that he gives what can be *all* of your Neopets a bonus to their stats more than makes up for the card advantage he can give your opponent if he or she defeats Lord Darigan. The stats are huge, and he doesn't require anything irregular to get him into play. The only reason I won't rate Lord Darigan higher is because of better quality villains in Dark, such as Shadow Usul.

Lord Darigan

To play this card, you need a Dark Neopet.  Dark Neopets get +1 to all stats while this Villain is in play.  When this Villain loses a contest, the player who defeated it draws 2 cards.

I suppose it seems obvious to you that this card is awesome from it's +1 to Dark Neopets powerup, and because it has decent stats in most arenas?  Well, it is decent, but there's more...

Alright, first I'll hit that +1 powerup.  It may be good for your Darks, but it's probably good for your opponent too.  Let's face it, almost everybody plays Dark nowadays.

Where this guy shines is in a Villain stall deck.  It does exactly what you want it to.  It can block almost any arena at least for a little while, and when it does get beaten, your opponent has to draw 2 of their remaining few cards.  Also, it's Dark, which any true Villain deck is sure to have already anyway.

The other semi-decent use is just to help thin your deck.  Using this guy and any decent hero (MSPP especially), you waste two cards to draw two.  I'd recommend using Grimoire instead.

The downside to this guy is if you aren't trying to deck your opponent, you really don't want them to draw 2 cards.  Also, if they're running a strict Dark and you're running multiple types, they'll benefit more from this guy than you will.

Ratings:

This guy has some decent stats, can be somewhat usable, but a couple downsides as well.  But, he's on the higher end of the Villain spectrum.  I'll go with a 3.8 of 5.

Lord darigan is an interesting card with battle for meridell set coming. He will have competition with the new card darigan, reformed from battlle for meridell. The bat-thing from battle for meridell means when your opponent defeats him, they get darigan or darigan reformed from their deck so you might try and hope your opponent has that in their deck.

I will give lord darigan 4/5 because he will be good in battle for meridell decks.

"To play this you need a Dark Neopet.
Dark neopets get 1+ to all stats while this Villan is in play.
When this villain looses a contest, the player who defeated it draws two cards."

This is my most favorite Villain in all of Neopets! And his card makes him almost as evil as he is in the game. This guy is a definite must in all dark villain decks. I have a dark villain deck and he just destroys your opponent. Him,The Darkest Faerie, and Jhudora are key cards to winning a duel in a Villain deck. You get a good enough lock in magic with either of these you can almost declare a win in that arena.he is just simply broken along side with the other magic arena broken villains.
Now to the pros and cons

Pro+
21 Magic (actually 22)
1+ stat bonuses to dark neopets

Con-
Lacking in other areas (but not bad, just good, their are other experienced neopets and heroes that could get him off the field quickly in other arenas)
the two card drawback(but that comes with most villains)

Villans are just so strong and much liked. If you use them right their gold

5/5 ( I think he is a great villain. Abuse him as much as you can in the magic arena.)

also with the array of villains that came out in Battle for Meridell it is very hard to decide on a steady villain deck. (With new bad guys like Kass and others) Hopefully next time we review a villain i will include a great villain deck. And Also, the next set is Return of Dr Sloth. So expect to see him as a villain over the next few months or so : )
