Beastly Mage
Today's card is one of the Jutsus used by Kakashi
during Pain's invasion of the Leaf Village. The
Lightning version of Shadow Clone allows you to
negate the damage the user would receive (any sort)
during the turn this card was played. Then, you get
to injure a Ninja opposing the User. So, let's say
your opponent uses a damage-dealing effect (not an
injury effect). You negate that for one Lightning
and one Colorless, and then you get to injure a
Ninja opposing the User. Now, even if the Ninjas
opposing the User are all injured, you still get to
negate that damage effect since the negation comes
first. This is one nice surprise for your opponent.
It's useful in Limited since it doesn't have any
User requirements. It's also good in Block and
Unlimited formats. Try it and see!
