Beastly Mage

Pain (Animal Path)

Today we start with a card from the upcoming set. I must say I like this card. I myself am testing a Void/Pain deck, and this one would go great in it. This version of Animal Path has more combat than its previous versions while coming in at the same turn. She has two effects that can be of great use. The first one, which is not Valid gives all of your Animal + Rinnegan Ninjas +1/+1. This means that you can pump up the Animal Summons (which are a lot when you think about it). The other effect, which is Valid lets you rescue any of those Animals that would be removed from play. Let's say the Rhino is gonna get removed (if you follow the wording right, I'm guessing it also covers Sacrifices). With her effect the Rhino bounces to your hand. Now you have more Sacrifice fodder for the whatever comes next. Let's remember that this sort of deck requires you have sacrifice material for the big versions of Pain. With her effects she can secure that material. Try it and see!

Ratings:

Limited: 1.5/5 (Sacrifice hurts her here)
Constructed: 2/5
Block: 3/5
Art: Better than the Chibi version./5
