Kisame Hoshigaki
[Left Ring of Nan]
#N-1150

Average Card Rating

Limited: Starter
Unlimited: 4.00
Block: 4.25

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale.
1 being the worst.
3 = average.
5 is the highest rating.

Beastly Mage

Today's card is another Akatsuki Starter Deck Exclusive. This Water/Void version of Kisame is a 7/2 - 5/0 with Ambush. This Kisame's effect activates when his team attacks and all the Ninjas have a Void symbol. When that happens you remove two of your opponent's Chakras from play (not discard, remove). If after that your opponent has less Chakra than you, you move your turn marker up by 1. This is perfect for Void decks, while giving your a bit of Chakra Control. The stats are great, but the effect isn't Valid. Just remember that.

Ratings:

Limited: Starter/5
Constructed: 3/5
Block: 3.5/5
Art: I wanna see all of them lined up!/5

DIMHWT

Today we look at the new sharkman on the block, kisame from set 21 starters.

his stats are much higher than the usual kisame at 7/2 5/0, making him a very good combat ninja even when injured. Kisame also brings weapon and ambush. As with all but one of the extend art akatsuki sharkman is double colored, but only one of those colors will be enjoying his services. When he is sent out to attack (meaning he has the weakness of having no effect throughtout most of the game) with all void ninja, you can remove (note: not discard) 2 chakras from the game. and then if your opponent has less chakra than you, your turnmarker goes up by 1.

void-this is the best turn 5 in void.....not that it had a lot of competition on a competitive level. he combines the turn marker abuse that void loves with chakra drain that it really needed on one ninja and an effect thats very difficult to prevent (comp strength/zetsu is the most used way, but thats all ninja) add to that he has the stats that got yo back, and its clear: kisame is the top turn 5 in void)

Kisames effect prevents him from being used/abused in other colors, so i'll only consider him void for this review....

overall, this was an extremely well made card, one that will help void catch up with the other elements who have had way more sets to become established....

limited: NA
construced: Void-5/5 (sharkman rules!)
art: 5/5 (i promise that all the extend akatsuki arts will get a 5 in my book)

I'm DIMHWT, and this was the naruto COTD, see you tomorrow ;)
