Beastly Mage

Shogi Match

Today's card is a mission that's seeing a lot of action. Shogi Match is great for Mental Power Decks. By allowing you to set off a Mental Power Battle during the turn AND getting a card draw for each Victory/Outstanding victory, you're using one killer mission. Now, make sure you're using teams with PLENTY of Mental Power. Remember that all teams must go out to fight if possible with this mission. It's also good sideboard material against decks that don't really use Mental Power. This could guarantee one really nice time... for you!

5/3/10 M-593 Shogi Match
===================

Today's card is one of my favorite's from Set 16. This card is an absolute killer in Mental Decks. It makes all battles during the turn Mental Power battles and you draw one card for each Victory or Outstanding Victory you win during the turn. It doesn't sound that interesting except that it forces all teams out to battle. If you're playing against a deck with low MP ninjas, you can easily take out a few ninjas, plus you can draw up to three cards which is nice. A very solid card that is a good staple for Mental decks.

Limited: 1.5/ Usable, but still hard to pull off to its full extent.
Constructed: 4/5 A very good card in constructed Mental
Block: 4.25/5 Better here since there are less Earth Missions filling up its slot.
