Beastly Mage

Wind Style: Rasen Shuriken

Welcome to another week of reviews, Naruto fans! Today's card is one highly-awaited Jutsu for Naruto. Rasen Shuriken is a real killer with a choice of costs. You can pay two Lightning (for a Wind-style technique?!) and a colorless, or just pay five colorless for this Jutsu. Only a Turn 3 or higher Naruto (no Clone Status requirement so far) can use it, and the effect is very nice for a Jutsu with this Limitation: you get to remove the target Ninja that's battling the User, then you get to check your opponent's hand, Chakra, Deck, and even the Discard Area for any Ninjas with that same name, and remove those Ninja cards from play... 0.0

Only downside is that you have to injure the User afterwards. It doesn't say "give one damage", just "injure".

This card is simply awesome for constructed, where multiples tend to be used of one key Ninja. This could really... REALLY kill your opponent's strategy. Try it and see!

6/21/10 J-645 Wind Style: Rasen Shuriken
===============================

Today's card is the first version of Naruto's ultimate jutsu, Rasen Shuriken. It's very powerful, requiring T3 Naruto + clone status, so little Naruto can't do it (unless it's OC). It basically  Sealing Barrier's a ninja battling against for  two lightning chakra and a colorless, or five colorless. Technically, this can be splashed in other decks, but for five chakra it's not worth it for the effect. For that much chakra, you'll want to be hitting a whole team rather than one ninja, but it's still good. Right now, the card is lackluster, but after Rotation, it should see some play since it will be one of the few true removal cards.

Welcome back to another week of reviews Pojo faithful.

Todays card is one you all have an opinion on, whether it be good or bad; you all have one. We will be reviewing the newest jutsu in Naruto's bad of tricks. The Rasen Shuriken!!!

So lets take a look at this new jutsu.

This super rare jutsu is a dual-element of Lightning and Wind. Its requirements are Naruto Uzumaki with a turn cost of turn 3 or higher. This shouldn't be an issue, since you are running Reliance or Mastering the Hidden Technique. Now for the fun stuff. You target one ninja battling against Naruto. Then, remove that ninja from the game. In that case, you get to search your opponents hand, deck, chakra, and discard pile for ninja card with the same name. Finally, remove them from the game.

So this card is costly depending on how you pay for it but, it does have its uses. Most of you I'm sure don't like it. I personally use this card. It works wonders for me. No one sees it coming at the times I use it. It is a game winner. I recently ran into an earth deck. I was facing a Yamato-Control By Fear and he used 4 Pillars Prison on me, I used this handy jutsu and won the game off that.

Though I agree paying 5 chakra is costly and other jutsu can be used, it is worth it. This is card mostly more useable in block format. Even if you play it as a 1 of to surprise your opponent, it is worth it.

That is my two cents on this jutsu. I know the arguements on both sides, but I hope mine got accross.

See you tomorrow
