Beastly Mage

Storm by Rasengan

Today's card is a bit of a doozy. Storm by Rasengan can be used by any Naruto with Clone Status (note that there is no turn cost specification), the Fourth Hokage and Jiraiya. That's just great, considering that there's a great effect for this Rasengan. You take all of the opposing team's back Ninjas and discard them. That's right, you make them go "bye-bye"! That can be good if you want to go for the big hit. It's a good card in constructed, and could be useful (a bit) in limited. Try it and see!

2/1 J-543 Storm By Rasengan
============================

All right, a new month and more new reviews. Today's card is another variation of Naruto/Jiraiya/Fourth's favorite Jutsu, Rasengan. First off, its name isn't "Rasengan" so it doesn't compete with the Fateful Reunion Rasengan for deck space. For two lightning and one colorless, you discard every back ninja battling against the user. This really hurts the opponent's team and losing two ninjas is very devastating and may be game-ending. Playing this early game with a zero or one drop Naruto can lead to board dominance as well. The downside is that it is situational; if the head ninja battling against you uses a strong jutsu, this card cannot counter it and it is not as effective if your opponent's team has only one back ninja.

In constructed, this can work well in a Naruto 9000 deck. It is also pretty good if you’re a poor boy like me and can’t afford all of the expensive jutsus Naruto has since this comes in the Naruto starters… and you get some nice Konohamarus.

Limited: Starter/5
Constructed: 3.5/5
Block: 3.5/5 Naruto [MTHT] is still block legal but there isn't as much good 0 drop Naruto's to pull this off early game.
Art: Another pic of Naruto screaming while running with a rasengan/5
Tomorrow: The best SR of Foretold Prophecy and perhaps OF ALL TIME!
