Beastly Mage

Yamato

This version of Yamato is really good. He's got Ambush, which is great. He's also got no hand cost. The effects are good too. Once he's deployed (yes, it has to be that way) you can take one face-up mission card in your opponent's battle reward area and play it (ignoring the hand cost). Then, there's a valid effect: he can flip face-up or face-down one of your opponent's battle rewards. He can help you set up for a few effects. He's got nice stats for turn 4 in healthy, but injured is not so good. Notice that there's also no "First Hokage" Jutsu effect, but that doesn't matter in Block. Try it and see!

8/19/10 N-892 Yamato [Seed Of Strength]
===============================

Today's card is one of the more interesting BR flipping cards. This version of Yamato is T4 with his usual characteristics with the bonus of Ambush. Being a turn lower than usual, his stats have dropped down to 5/3 and 0/2, but that isn't too bad in my eyes.

When he is deployed, you can play a face-up Mission card in your opponent's battle reward area, ignoring the hand cost, but entrance must still be met. This is hit-or-miss depending on the number of missions you run, but you can easily manipulate your opponent's battle reward with cards like Sakura [ADP] or Momiji. His other effect is quite tech though. During your mission phase, you can flip one battle reward face-up or face-down. You can use it too flip up your rewards to help with cards like the new Asuma or Deidara, or you can screw up your opponent in mirror matches by flipping their BRs face down. Great effect, plus it is valid.

Only downside is that this card has name Yamato so you might have a hard time throwing him in with Yamato [CBF] floating around, but you may still have room for him since that Yamato is rogue'd.
