Beastly Mage

Revival of the Dead

Good card, situational effect. This Jutsu that only Orochi can use is a bit bad in Limited (if not awful!). Now, in Constructed, this card will be good. If you manage to pull the effect off, you'll be able to revive up to 2 Ninjas from either your Discard Pile or that of your opponent's. It's pretty good that way. In Limited, I only see it as fodder for your big Water Ninjas.

J-600 Revival of the Dead

Heh, a good card name for me today.  Was sick for the past few days, so I'm trying to res myself a bit, so let's see if we can't get this sexy disco party start'd!

Today's card is the finale for Oro week, and it's a pretty situational card, in the fact that it requires other cards to really work.  Now it's hard to recommend cards like this, but before I get too deep into it, let's look at it's stats, shall we:

Revival of the Dead
Water
Requirements: "Orochimaru"
Effect: If you pay the cost of this Jutsu with a "Summoning Jutsu: Reanimation" Jutsu card, or "Orochimaru's Forbidden Jutsu" Mission card, place up to 2 Ninjas from your Discard Pile and/or your opponent's Discard Pile and put them(it) in play in the user's Team in any position.

Its pretty specific, both on user and cost for it, but it's a huge bonus.  Combo'd with Threat of the Tail'd Beast, you could probably hit the requirements pretty often, but only having one user and a specific cost makes it a hard play in any deck.

But I'm a fan of this card, so I'm going to rate it somewhat well, as I think it has a morbid potential that I love.

Constructed: 2/5 Not great, but if you can hit it, it's awesome!
Limited: 1/5 Don't even know if those cards are in it...Art: You brought back Laurel and Hardy to fight me?.../5

StormVyper Zera Revival of the Dead

The first line of text absolutely ruin this card for me. Last I checked, Summoning Jutsu: Reanimation was bad and still is. Orochimaru's Forbidden Jutsu has become slightly better due to a certain Orochimaru from this set, but he has to be in play, making the mission bad until at least TUrn 6 (and that's if I have Orochimaru in play). On top of that, the card only has a single user. Single user plus specific requirements to fulfill the effect makes for a bad card, unless the effect says "you win the game".

Limited: 1/5
Constructed: 2/5
