Beastly Mage

Shark Skin

Today's card, continuing the theme, is one of Kisame's Signature Techniques. This version of Shark Skin (or Samehada if you like it in Japanese) first negates a Jutsu card being played. It negates the Jutsu just played by your opponent. Simple enough. Now, comes the nice part. After the Jutsu is negated, the user of that Jutsu takes one damage. Simple Jutsu with a nice effect! In limited, if you draft Kisame and enough Water cards you're set.

Limited: 2/5
Constructed: 3/5

That Guy Shark Skin

Shalom fellow card duelist and naruto fans. I am one of the new writers here along with The Poo Toucher and Sharingan Warrior. My name is Josh but you can call me That Guy. Sorry to you all that I was unable to write for this weeks earlier cards but problems arise as you all know and dueling sometimes take a back seat to family. But let's get to what you all came here for, the cards.

Shark skin is essentially water's sharigan. Since Shark Skin can only be Kisame it makes it more specific than the Sharigan but does have an extra effect that makes up for a loss in versatility. The second effect allows you to give damage to the user of this jutsu, awsome. Simply put, your giving up versatility of not having a jutsu that can be used by a wide group of ninja's for an added effect of injuring a ninja almost automaticly. Another fact that should be put into consideration is that if you are using this jutsu you already have Kisame out on the field. Using yesterday's Kisame you would definitly win the power match and won't have to worry about being affected by a jutsu thanks to Shark Skins negation powers.

Competative wise this card can work for water because Kisame fits snug as a bug in competative water decks. Which Kisame to use is really based on your deck. Not to go against what other reviewers have said but their isn't just one or two great Kisame's, now sure taking away chakra is strategiclly better than reducing power but it all depends on your deck and how you use the card. In Limited Shark Skin doesn't shine because you might not pull Kisame, but if your lucky or trade around before dueling you might have a chance.

Constucted: 4/5 (Not a five out of five purely for the fact that only Kisame can use it)
Limited: 2/5 (Again because only Kisame can use it)
