Today's card is a new Sand Ninja from Shippuden.
Matsuri is a turn 0, which is good in limited, and
gives other Sand Ninjas +1 support, which makes
Temari [Wind Scythe] a 0/3. It also makes the
Shika-Tema Platoon a 5 supporter since Matsuri's
effect doesn't specify platoons or Sand-Only Ninjas.
She's good, but: Will she make the cut in
constructed? Only time will tell.

Yeah, we're starting off the week big with...really?
Bandai only got one preview?...so we're going with
Matsuri...sorry folks...
That's right, we're doing the cards from the Sand
theme, starting with Matsuri. Now I know I generally
give a long review on cards, but with one this
underwhelming, I can't go into much detail. She's a
T0 Sand ninja, 2/0 0/0, Mental: 1 that gives every
other Sand Ninja +0/+1. That's kinda cool, makes
Temari into a 0/3 and Kank-Tact into a 3/4, but
other than helping out a Wind City deck, doesn't
really make Wind rethink it's curve.
Constructed:1.5/5 Not garbage, but deckable if
you're desperate.
Limted:1.5/5 Same as Constructed
Art:Who the heck is this?/5

Matsuri [Follower]
Oh man, is this the beginning of Namekian Farmer #1
phase? Either way, it's about time we started
getting more playable unique ninja; it's seems like
every deck is packing the same handful of Genin
names. Her stats coupled by her effect however,
leave something to be desired. 2/0~1/0 was decent
before, but with Naruto [Control of Power], vanilla
Sasuke, Rock Lee [Loopy Fist], and now Choji
[Infuriation] all packing 3 Combat or higher on Turn
0, poor little Matsuri is gonna find herself getting
steamrolled.. a lot. My opinion is if they don't
have just an amazing effect (like Shino [Insect
Warrior] used to have), then they probably shouldn't
just be a 2 Combat ninja if you expect them to see a
lot of play. I don't know, I just think the pump is
pretty negligible and this'll only really see play
in dedicated Sand decks (and maybe a few Wind builds
just to keep the off-color count down).

a due we present to you another review on a new
ninja:
Matsuri N-602
Well, wind needed more 0 drop ninjas and here she
is. Gaara's crazy fan girl is here to the rescue.
She's a turn 0 ninja with decent stats (H:2/0,
I:1/0), weapon combat attribute, 1 mental power and
genin + sand obviously. She has a very nice
characteristics setup for a sand ninja although
stat-wise she doesn't really cut it.
Her effect gives +1 support to every sand ninja
in play you got. Which in technical terms is good to
give support to a baki, a temari, a kankuro and so
on. That's not bad at all. However, if this ninja
were to have SOME support and a valid effect it
would be much better off in this aggressive low-turn
environment nowadays. Still, in sand/puppet decks
she may be very useful to run 1 or 2 of her. In the
late games she REALLY gets deadly adding support to
Sasori, Third Kazekage, Chiyo, Kankuro, Ebizo and so
on, which one by one it adds up to a lot.
A good 0 drop wind ninja that was needed but she
could have been much better.

Constructed: 3/5 (Not bad at all for wind decks)
