Beastly Mage

Ino Yamanaka

Welcome to another week of reviews, Naruto fans. Today's card is a new version of Ino. This version allows for some deck cycling. When she's put in play you can (if you want) reveal the top two cards in your deck. If there's at least one Ninja there, you can put one of those Ninjas in your hand, return the other card and shuffle your deck. If not, you can simply return those cards to either the top or the bottom of the deck. That's a pretty sweet effect if you ask me. On top of that she's got 3 support at turn 2, which is good (but can become better with growth). In limited she could help, as well in constructed. Try it and see.

N. Jolly
N-595 Ino Yamanaka-Pressing

I'm slowly starting to try to branch out, so I'm checking out all those crazy web sites the kids are talking about...N. Jolly of the Future!

Today's card is an awesome one, and it fits the timeline, unlike the other great Ino we got this set. Let's check her stats: T2, 1/3 1/1 with Leaf, Female, Chunin, Mental Power:1, Crowth, and Medical. That's quite a rap sheet, but probably the most important of those qualifiers is "Medical". That right there gave the Medical deck another great ninja to finish off it's line up as well as giving Earth a great T2 to play if you're not running Shikamaru: Unwillingness, or even if you are. It has good stats for it's turn, and it's effect makes it even better!

When this ninja comes into play, reveal the top two cards of your deck. If one or more of them is a ninja, place one of them in your hand and shuffle your deck. If not, place the cards on the top or bottom of your deck. Playing this card extensively, I've only not hit a ninja once, and even then, being able to pick to not draw the next two cards was worth playing her. Even better, it's a come into play effect, which means you can Growth her into play and get it again, making her an awesome drop for turn two. She's highly splashable, as a card that instantly replaces itself is popular in any deck. I myself love putting her in Fire, as Fire doesn't really have a T2 on color and her ability is just awesome, not to mention being an LAR charge.

In closing, this is one of the better cards to come out of the best set in the game since Eternal Rivalry. I'd play it in any deck where you have room or are just looking for a decent T2.

Constructed:4.5/5 Awesome
Limited:4.75/5 Even better as a great supporter

StormVyper Zera Ino Yamanaka [Pressing]

First off, I'm not a fan of her stats, more specifically, her Injured stats; seems like that Combat should've been cut to give her 2 Support. But I digress, she's got a decent effect, though it's pretty straightforward. Sifting through the top 2 cards for a ninja to grab is decent, and a miss doesn't leave you with a bitter taste, as you could just throw the potentially useless card(s) to the bottom of the deck where it can't get in your way. She's a decent card, but there's no serious allure to play her IMO.

Another day, another card and this time, it's everyone's favorite naval-exposing kunoichi of Shippuden, Ino.

This card is just flat out, amazing! It covers many aspects of what we want from a card!

Excellent support for turn 2
Growth
Mental Power
Mini-Bingo Book put in play effect for great mini-draw power

There is just nothing to complain about this card! It's just a solid turn 2 support ninja with stats and an effect that can go in any deck! If you're using her for Earth or Medical decks, you're looking at a must-have, friend! If it wasn't for another ninja we'll be previewing this week, I'd be wanting to see her in almost every deck this game has, but I digress...

Limited: 4/5
Constructed: 4.5/5
