Matthew Low Monday 8/3 - Misumi Tsurugi [Unique Talent] - Water - Ninja

Misumi is an interesting card. Don't forget that his other forms are not exactly playable, so this gets a clean slate.

He has Gaara stats on T2, which is good, and drops any team with a T2 or less by two team power, which can indirectly make him a 6 Power or 2 Support in some situations. Problem? I find him too situational. First off, he only works when he attacks, so in a sense, he's limited to mostly as a Head Ninja. Early game that's fine, as that's where he'll shine. Late game he becomes more fodder, and seeing Water shines with late game Jonin jutsus, I can't say I'm a huge fan.

He's also lacking in Chunin, which only slightly takes playability away. Nevertheless, Water's been lacking in early game, and really it's not like they're going to tempo to win any time soon. Water just needs to survive long enough to Ghost Panic or drop successive Jonins, and Misumi's an offensive Ninja for the most part.

That said, he's not bad by any stretch of the imagination. I'd rank him as slightly above average, and can be a decent T2 drop in some situations. I'd just rather drop a guy with multiple uses, along with some support to push a big team and have use late game. Then again, Misumi + Kabuto would be a beating, at least when attacking.

Constructed: 3.5 out of 5.0 (Decent, has uses, and perhaps 1 or maybe 2 in some Water decks.)
Limited: 4.8 out of 5.0 (He's a low drop with high combat and a great effect in limited environments.)

N. Jolly
N-629 Misumi Tsurugi: Unique Talent

Well this week is Water Preview week, and we start off with a fun card reviewed by your sexy guide into the world of Naruto, Mr. N. Jolly...

Kicking off the week is Misumi, which most of you will remember for not defeating Sasuke...yeah, that's it. He's a T2 Water ninja with only two key words, Sound and Male...yeah...his stats are 4/0 2/0 which aren't bad for his turn at all, but there's not a lot to say about his base other than it's pretty good for Water.

His ability however is pretty cool, allowing him to almost be a 6/0 by dropping the stats of one ninja on the opponent's side of the board by -2/-2 when he attacks. That debuff will last into their turn too, so they won't be able to just swing in after you do, turning things into a slug fest. Now that T2 is clear of Kabuto, he's the ninja of choice for the turn unless we get some sweet new Demon Bros.

Constructed:3.75/5 Strong card with a solid effect
Limited:4/5 A card this strong can be hard to come back from
Art: This just screams Hentai Fan Fiction...literally screams it.../5
StormVyper Zera Misumi Tsurugi [Unique Talent]

The first thing I noticed where his stats; he got upgraded to Gaara stats, which is a good thing. His effect is also a pretty strong one. On the attack, he can knock an early game Ninja down by -2/-2. May not seem like much, but he can be pretty sick in Tempo-esque decks for his ability to make sure he's the biggest ninja in play when he attacks. He seems to be overshadowed by his teammate though, since he doesn't provide an immediate advantage.

Limited: 4/5
Constructed: 3/5 (Less effective, but a solid card nonetheless.)
