Another Fire/Leaf/Ambush?!
Yes, and he's a starter deck uncommon!
This card gives all other Anbu Ninjas +1/+1. It's a
shame he's not an Anbu (in characteristics anyways).
Like Kakashi (Anbu Days) he's pretty good, but he'll
be even better if Anbu decks get a real boost from
this set. With the previous set giving us some Anbu
support, we could be seeing the start of a real Anbu
deck. Try it and see!

[Mysterious Corps]
Well, I knew we wouldn’t get a set without an Itachi.
Every set since DL has had at least 1. This is only
the second Itachi that we’ve had with the Leaf
characteristic, but he fits in the theme.
Personally, I’m not a fan of this Itachi. +1 +1 to
Anbu really isn’t worth it, especially as he can
only boost 2 other ninja. The Kakashi from today
doesn’t have Anbu, and neither does this Itachi.
Even in the theme, no one will run this over [Goal]
or [Formidable Visual Jutsu]. Well, it’s a starter
deck card, so no big deal I suppose.
This Mysterious Corps stuff seems to have a link...
hmm... maybe?
Itachi seems pretty nice for a 5 drop for Anbu. He
gives a boost to all the Anbu in play, and his stats
are decent at 6/3 1/3, injuring to the same support.
He doesn't have Anbu, but Ambush is a nice way to
go. He's not amazing in a hat or anything, but he
seems solid and will entirely depend on more Anbu
being released. That said, it'd be the only deck
type you'd see him in as well.
Constructed: 3.4 out of 5.0 (Anbu only.)
Limited: 2.4 out of 5.0 (Beatstick with a hand cost
:().

are you guys ready for a two-fer? Well we've got it
with Itachi Uchiha from set 13.
giving a plus to other anbu members is cool, but
+1/+1? really? with anbu himself he can't even be
abused with kakashi, I think I'll stick to goal.
As uncool of me as it is, that's the only point I'll
make, sorry guys and fems
Constructed: 1 out of 5. a saving grace is it's easy
to get.
Art: 4 out of 5. Nice art, can't say that about a
lot of Itachi's

Itachi "Ichiha"
Wow, the American CCG really does take all its
pictures from Japan, this Itachi was on the cover of
a starter deck. Ooh, he's even starter exclusive.
Anyway, godly stats (6 combat and mono 3 support),
even with Ambush included, and he's got Sharingan &
Genjutsu. He powers up all of your Anbu ninjas, so
he's really great. Heck, Anbu decks might even be
viable. "Might" because they still need more ninjas
(coughcoughtowakomachikagura), and they're still
gonna get run over by Tailed Beast Form (see the
official naruto ccg podcast for details).
Overall, good support for Anbu again. They have the
support they need, now all they need are more Anbus
to work with.

Itachi Uchiha [Mysterious Corps]
Yay, more Anbu support. Too bad it's pretty bad
though. The fact that this card is named Itachi
Uchiha already leaves a bitter taste as it means
you're not playing clearly superior versions like
[Goal] or [Formidable Visual Jutsu]. Not to mention
+1/+1 is a pretty negligible boost, and as a further
slap in the face, he's not Valid when he clearly
should have been. Why they opted to put this
particular effect on an Itachi instead of a new Anbu
ninja, I will never fully understand. The flip side
is this guy is super fun with The Third Hokage
[Guardian of the Village]; a massive field of 6/4
Anbu? Yes, please! Unfortunately this card is still
pretty much a swing and a miss in my book.
Limited - 1/5 (He's a ST Exclusive. Anbu cards in
the starter deck, perhaps?)
Constructed - 2/5
Artwork - No "Anbu" Itachi will ever top [Despair at
the Clan] in terms of artwork.
