Iruka Umino [Accurate Analysis]

N-291

Review Date: 03.10.08

Average Card Rating

Constructed: 3.90
Limited: 3.50

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale.
1 being the worst.
3 = average.
5 is the highest rating.

Beastly Mage

Please welcome the Vanilla Ninja deck's favorite (and probably only) effect Ninja!

Accurate Analysis provides an extra attack and support boost to all of your in-play Ninjas with either no effect (plain, just like Vanilla) or whose effect text has been negated by, let's say, Shikamaru US Formation or something like that. Now, to some +1/+1 is not that much, but in the right situation it can be deadly for your opponent. Just remember to protect this guy. Even though his effect is valid, just don't let him get removed at the critical moment.

Ratings:

Limited: 2/5 (good stats for a turn-2)
Constructed: 4.5/5 in the Vanilla deck
Art: 4/5

N-291 Iruka Umino [Accurate Analysis]
At first glance this card wasn't so impressive. It isn't until you break out the Game Manual Ver.4, Pg.
24 where it states that the effect text of injured Ninjas are negated with the exception of Valid ninjas.
With this interpretation, this is easily one of the best cards of the new set for the current meta.

For constructed I've seen a few decks revolving around the use of Suicidal Action and Disaster of the Nine-Tailed Fox. This card has a place in any deck that is bound to take self inflicted damage. With Gaara TN still a threat in most tournaments, this Iruka is a good counter.

A good card in limited as well, because it cuts down on the power lost by being injured.

Constructed: 4.25/5
Limited: 4/5

Wyatt Iruka Umino N-291. Finally, a new Iruka. Well, this one seems to be suited only to a deck based on his effect. All of your in play ninjas with no effect texts(including those with negate effect texts) get +1/+1. Not bad, but then again, most vanilla ninjas are about the same stats, or lower with a lower entrance cost. Although, you can use cards like Temptation and cursed fate to make your strong ninjas have no effect, and gain strength. And in the case of temptation, your opponent's ninjas effects will be negated, while your ninjas get a bonus. Overall, a vanilla deck is possible, but I doubt it could really be competitive without more support. Other than the effect this Iruka has standard Iruka stats, turn 2, Chunin, 1 Mental Power, 3/1, 2/1.

Constructed:3/5(4/5 in vanilla deck)
Limited:3.5/5(good stats here, but probably no ninjas for his effect.)

MeGaMaRiK
Welcome Pojo'ers! Today's card is Iruka Umino [Accurate Analysis], one of my favorite.

This Iruka competes with [Reward] in my opinion. 3/2 healthy, 2/1 injured, with an AWESOME effect. I play him in any of my lightning decks. Giving +1/+1 to any non-effect ninjas; this includes injured ninjas with no valid effects. Have an Ino&Inoichi platoon injured? That's a 5 supporter now. Injured Jiraiya? Same stats as healthy. Injured Naruto&Sakura with 3 coins? That's a whopping 6/5, hello Fourth Hokage turn 1.

All in all, this Iruka is pretty good. Try him out.

Constructed: 3.5/5
Limited: 4/5
