Neji Hyuga & Hizashi Hyuga

Today we have an awesome
platoon from The Chosen. This card has one of the
best combat values for a turn 5 ninja. No hand cost
is also a plus. Obviously this card is meant for a
deck based around Byakugan. The ability to use 8
Trigram Palm Rotations for free is great. The other
jutsu, Gentle Fist Style: 8 Trigrams 64 Palm, should
not be played. The ability to be unaffected by
missions isnʼt that useful at this stage in the
game. The lack of Jonin stats is a downside but then
again, Earth and Wind never had many jutsus that
relied on Jonin stats. A funny situation would be to
send this ninja out when your opponent uses Naruto
vs Sasuke because of the fact that this platoon
doesnʼt have a secondary rank.
So besides the obvious fact
that this card goes into Byakugan Decks, there is
another use for this card that isnʼt so obvious. And
that is a deck based around platoons. Wind and Earth
have some fierce platoons such as this card, Ino/Inochi,
and Shikamaru/Temari. I believe it is possible to
make a deck comprised of mostly ninjas and platoons
and a few key missions. I wonʼt go into major detail
but the centerpiece around the platoon deck would be
Skillful Tactics M-US018. And if such a deck does
become top tier, this card would have a place right
into it.
This card goes right into a
Byakugan deck. In any other deck, you need to debate
about whether you want him in. On one hand, he has
great stats. On the other, he doesnʼt have an effect
that would help anything other than Byakugan decks.
Overall, this is a good card with some potential for
future use.
