Beastly Mage

Might Guy

Today's card is a new version of Guy-Sensei. He serves as tutor for the "Hot-Blooded Tuition" mission card. In the fifty-card deck, a tutor can be a good thing, particularly for a mission that could see some play in the near future (or maybe even right now). In limited this guy doesn't work that well unless you can draft the mission. Now, in constructed, he's pretty decent. Try it and see.

Limited: 2/5
Constructed: 3.5/5

For Tuesday, we bring you Might Guy…once again.

Poor Might Guy, always getting shafted with bad versions. This one here is only useful in the “Hot Blooded Tuition” theme deck. Unfortunately, that deck isn’t completely competitive, so I doubt this card will see play in anything outside casual. I’d rather use the vanilla Might Guy that came in this set.

Limited: 2/5
Constructed: 1/5

Mylo Might Guy (passionate life)- 5 Drop, 1 hand cost, 6/0 healthy, 5/0 injured, Lightning,Taijutsu and Jonin. Classic might guy stats, searches for hot blooded tuition (a might guy/rock lee specific mission that is VERY GOOD) which is by no means a bad effect. I like this one, but believe that there are better options for your mighy guy slots.

Constructed: 4.5/5 in a Guy/Lee Deck (mostly due to Hot blooded tuition)
Limited: 3/5, you pull this and hot blooded tuition and you are golden.

A Guy with a lot of fists gets you a mission with a bloody boy that just gets rid of a Jutsu or two. Stick with better versions.

Next Time: I'm giving you a wedgie.
Fun Fact: The biggest team my deck can make is a power of 13.
The Poo Toucher Today we are covering Might Guy Passionate Life from Approaching Winds. This is one of the cards that is sparking a new archetype in Naruto right now: Leedori (it's even fun to say) before this, Might Guy didn't have any versions that were much good outside of backup (outside of the 9k reign of course) this set we got 2! Lucky us.

Might Guy's effect is, once put into play, searches for the mission "Hot Blooded Tuition" and put's it into your hand.

This card has real upside: in 50 cards, effects that search for cards are more important now more than ever, so getting your T4 mission that effectively kills jutsu cards either in all hands or just your opponents is really strong.

Might Guy seems always to be really well stated, losing only 1 combat when turned from healthy to injured status makes it a lot less tide turning to be defeated in battle.

Being named Might Guy, he can use all of the jutsu in a deck that is becoming increasingly popular among players that is being called "Leedori", along with being really fun to say, the archetype is incredibly powerful. The deck uses jutsu like Double Dynamic Entry and Dynamic Lightning Lotus Chain (commonly known as Leedori) with the ninja Rock Lee High Speed Move (HSM) from the set Eternal Rivalry to insure that it cannot be negated. It's also the only current lightning deck that has a solid form of negation in High Speed Move Taijutsu from Quest for Power, making it a very solid "anti-meta" deck.

The card has no real downside, It searches out a card that you are going to play in the deck, because of that, 2 very important things happen:

1. You can slim down the number of Hot Blooded Tuition you play because playing this ninja in your deck is the same as playing the mission, which free's up for a different game-pushing mission such as Naruto Vs. Sasuke or the less popular Unpredicted Clue.

2. This ninja covers it's hand cost, there are very few turn 5 Ninja's that either have no hand cost or can replace it with another card, that can be very important in the hand advantage battle.

Constructed: 4 out of 5. If you're playing Leedori, this is your best 5 drop, run 3 of it.

Limited: 4 out of 5. Solid turn 5 stats with an effect is very nice.

Art: 4 out of 5. 11 fist is too much to handle

Until next time, truley yours: The Poo Toucher
