Gaara of the Desert

[Formation of Sand] provides Sand decks with much needed Chakra replenishment. During your mission phase you can move one Wind card from your discard pile to your Chakra Area, making it possible to use Gaara's Jutsus with little problem. I've seen this card in action, and it's really good, particularly when you've got a Double Sand Blade ready. Try it and see.

Now here we go, this card, I love. Every turn during your mission phase, you can get wind chakra back. This goes great in wind, because it keeps Tsunade healing, keeps Shizune protecting or recycling, gives Kurenai a growth coin for only 1 chakra, etc. This card has a lot of potential, plus it has those great Gaara stats. Want a particularly nasty combo? Run this with Detection by Byakugan Neji to get continuous chakra burning. Try it, you’ll love it. However, if you are running Gaara Jutsu, you’ll want to use IP instead, of course.

Gaara of the Desert [Formation of Sand]

I like this card. This card is definitely overlooked because of Immense Power and Tragic Name. With easy chakra generation, the comboʼs are endless. You could combo this with Neji [DBB] and always have chakra control. One of the drawbacks is that you can only retrieve wind chakra. And the majority of wind jutsus are not of the aggressive nature. I will give this card a decent rating just because of the potential that this card has.

Rating: 2.8/5
