Wednesday's card is the start of the new Ino-Shika-Cho formation, Ino Yamanaka, aptly named Formation. Like the last Ino named Formation, she keeps her 0/1 stats injured or healthy, has Mental:1 and the Mind attribute. Unlike the last Ino named Formation, she has Growth and a good effect that could be used without needing Shikamaru or Choji. Ino's effect allows you during the Mission Phase to choose a ninja your oppnent controls and force it to only be sent out to Battle as a Head ninja. You could use this alone as a control strategy to force your opponent not to send a specific ninja or draw out a ninja, or you can pair it with the new Shikamaru and Choji for the best effect. Either way, she's great and a common to boot.

Limited: 4/5(not the strongest ninja, but she possesses an annoying effect)
Constructed: 4/5(expect to see her in any deck running a decent amount of Earth with or without her buddies)

Beastly Mage

Ino Yamanaka (N-US013)

Hello, fellow Pojo-ers. Today's card is Ino Yamanaka. This version has an effect that some would consider strange. You can select an opponent's Ninja, and the only way that Ninja can be sent to battle is as Head Ninja. Alone, she can't do much. But, in the new Formation deck, the combo can be quite useful. Not much else to say about her.

Akira

Today's card is Ino [Formation] (Wait...wasn't there already a Ninja with this name and effect name?...)

Oh well..This one is infinitely better. Although I don't know if it will be a staple, it is a good control card.

Pros:
Stuff like Temari, Shikamaru, and Sakura cannot be used as support.
You can force Hayate to battle as a Head Ninja or not at all (making him easier to de-validize, thusly allowing you to use big missions like Inherit!)

Cons:
No combat
doesn't do much to ninjas with Combat.

It's strong at the right point in the game. With Ino's support and a combat ninja like Naruto or Sasuke, if you can keep your opponent from sending out a Support Ninja, you can maintain an advantage. It also combos well with the other members of her team (It's nice to see the card synergy)

Use Ino to target a problem Ninja
Shikamaru F's effect makes it a T0 with no effect
Choji F can damage that ninja!

I'm just not sure if this card will see play yet. Usually I would want something like Naruto or Sakura [I Can Do It] on Turn 0 because they can battle. Although getting stuck with Ino wouldn't be the end of the world because you could keep your opponent from stacking their ninjas into 5+ power teams early on.

I'd like to think it will do well against Tempo, but she's just not strong enough even with her effect...

Now in limited she is great. You want as many turn 0s as possible and it can keep your opponent's support ninjas from battling. Since most games in limited are won via ninjas, not so much jutsus and missions, this will definitely help you.

Constructed: 3/5
Limited: 4/5
Art: 5/5 (Finally a good Ino pic..)

Ajj

Kicking of the next three days of Earth ninjas (and my first three days of health), today we’re reviewing the new Ino [Formation] (wow Bandai, did you go out on a limb coming up with that, I mean seriously can’t you think of anything better than Formation). Though her stats are meh, the new Ino has a pretty interesting effect and might see some tournament play. During your opponent’s mission phase, she allows you to make one of your opponent’s ninjas only able to attack as the head ninja. Though pretty weak on its own, paired with the new Shikamaru, you’re looking at a very interesting, probably competitive combo that’s going to give APW a run for his money.
That said, Ino’s effect is situational and only really effective when paired with the new Shikamaru (and if your lucky, Choji), but overall, it’s the most powerful Ino yet and will definitely see some competitive play (Genin decks FTW!)

Limited: 3/5 (Her stats aren’t great but her effect could come in useful)
Constructed: 3.5/5 (Her effect definitely opens the door to a lot of interesting combos)
Art: 2/5 (“Take it away, Choji!” Someone’s PMSing,… or getting raped)

Darth Sideous

Ino Yamanaka[Formation!]

Today we look at an earth zero drop, which is Ino! She has 1 mental power which is good along with growth and a one support. She doesn't look great at first, but her effect is pretty darn good. Basically she's telling you to move your Temari's to the head ninja position to allow your team to get outstanding or your opponent won't block your team at all. Earth gets a major push this set and it's looking very good. With the Ino-Shiko-Cho formation reunited this set with better effects, they will come more in handy and more fun to use. I might consider running some Earth/Wind Mental this upcoming set. I am digging it. Just the low support value might hurt it, but it has growth to make up for it. Not bad at all.

Ratings:

Constructed: 4/5 Earth has a legit. chance this set

Limited: 4/5 A great card to get during these events. :)

Darth Sideous Out!
