Assasination of the Kazekage

Yeah, as if water needed to get more instant removal. It had End of the Demon to get rid of any ninja at the low cost of a Chunin, and now they can bounce a sannin for free. If they have a Kakashi: early settlement, that means you're left with a team that just lost its biggest attacker, and you're probably about to lose your sannin permanently.

Even if they don't, a powerful stall/diversionary tactic. Water = really overpowered.

Limited: 1.5/5 All kages/sannin are supers, and no way to chop 'em off the top of the deck reliably.
Constructed: 3.5/5
Art: bug are gross/5

Wednesday's card is Assassination of the Kazekage, a Water Mission that on Turn 6 allows you to return a Satoosa or Sanin(or something higher although we don't have anything higher than those guys yet)to the top of the owner's deck. By Turn 6, the card's effect becomes significant as that's the magic number Turn for the highest ranked ninjas, but the effect is merely delaying the inevitable of the ninja coming out. It does slow your opponent's next draw and if you can combine it with something that discards cards off the top of your opponent's deck like Parasitic Insects Jutsu or Shark Skin or use something like 8 Trigrams, you can get rid of it permanently provided the best scenario situation with 8 Trigrams. I'd run Stay Out of This over this card as it targets more and is a Counter Mission which allows you to play it on your opponent's turn.

Beastly Mage

Assassination of the Kazekage (m183)

Today's card is one that can help you get rid of that pesky Third Hokage [APW], or any other Sannin or Satoosa your opponent may have out on the field. Problem is that it only targets Ninjas with those ranks. But, with Request for Taking Office (which turns a Ninja into a Satoosa), you may have a few more targets with m183.

Ajj

Today we look at Assination of the Kazekage, the poor man’s EotD. AotK returns one of your opponents Satoosa or higher ninjas to the top of their deck. Though at times, this effect can be extremely helpful allowing you to get your opponents third as a BR, it’s just too situational and pales in Comparison to EotD which kills one of your chunin or higher ninjas for anyone of their ninjas. EotD is far more versatile, allowing you to kill their third or, in some cases, a sakura when you need to get the mental edge. Though it’s an ok card, AotK pales in comparison to some of water’s missions that basically do the same thing, only ten times better.

Darth Sideous

Here are the rest of the reviews for this week once again by Darth Sideous. :)

Assassination of the Kazekage

Today we are looking at another Water Mission called Assassination of the Kazekage. This card is incredibly useful with the current meta being fire. It's a turn 6 card as well which is fine since Satoosa/Sannin ninja's don't come into play until turn 6 normally. It's an alter ego of The End of the Demon, which makes it a good card. It removes a Satoosa/Sannin from the field to the top of the original owners deck. That's a good effect right there. Since it's still your turn during your mission phase, you can still attack, which would force your opponent to block your ninja's team unless he wants to lose his precious Satoos/Sannin to the battle reward pile. This card will give you field advantage if played right. I like this card even though I have never used it. It could prove very useful in Mono Water based decks

Ratings:

Contructed: Definitely worth using 4/5
Limited: It's not a viable option here 2/5
Art: Looks a little weird in my opinion 3/5

Darth Sideous Out!
