Sakura Haruno and Ino Yamanaka

No need for this, really; it has the same mental power as Sakura, and if you run two or three so you can draw one early game, chances are you'll end up with a dead draw later that can't even be used as a chump block. The stats aren't high enough to warrant running something with a requirement, even if they were put in the same team as Sasuke.

Limited: 1/5 (there isn't even an Ino...)

Sakura Haruno and Ino Yamanaka (Wind/Earth)
Leaf/Genin/Female/Mental Power 3/Platoon
Turn Cost 1
Combat/Support: 1/2, 0/2 Injured

[Rivalry in Love]: Valid: When this ninja is in the same team as Sasuke Uchiha, it gets +0/+1.

The platoons keep on coming this week, and we review a nice easy-to play platoon in the form of Sakura and Ino. (They never really team up at all, strange that they are a platoon lol). While the effect of this ninja could make it a Turn 1 1/3, it still isn't very useful if you're looking at first discarding an Ino or Sakura that was already providing some support. The effort you get for platooning is only rewarded by a situational Support boost. Seeing as this card is in Wind/Earth, not likely to be combined with fire, it does not combo well with Sasuke. At the very least, it keeps its 2 support even when Injured, something Temari does not do.

Wednesday's card is another Platoon Ninja, Sakura Haruno and Ino Yamanaka, Rivalry in Love. For a Turn 1 Platoon, who can easily come into play after you play Sakura or Ino Turn 0, you get a 1/2 who becomes a 0/2 when injured, has Weapon and Mind combat attributes, Mental 3 and gets +0/+1 if on the same team as Sasuke. The stats are nice but the effect isn't really that great. You can give Sasuke a nice boost to his power early on, but the real reason you would want to play this ninja is for the stats. If kunoichi decks make a strong showing, this may make a showing. Use it if you like it.

Limited: 2/5(you only have Sakura here).
Constructed: 2/5(you may want the Sakura or Ino effect rather than this one)

Sakura Haruno & Ino Yamanaka (n206)

Greetings once more Naruto fans. Today's card is a Platoon Ninja. This one features all the characteristics of both Ino and Sakura. It's got access to both their selection of Jutsus, as well as decent support. It gets better support by being in the same team as Sasuke. Still, Platoon Ninjas are a bit troublesome (at least in my neck of the woods). Try it and see.

Another day, Another platoon, Another crappy effect. Like every platoon to date, Sakura/Ino brings a crappy effect to the table. For the effect to be at all strategically advantegous, you have to start the game with three ninjas in your hand: Sasuke, Sakura (or Ino), and the Platoon. Play Sasuke on turn 0 (or 1) than play a Sakura (or Ino) on the next turn and platoon it (you can platoon ninjas the same turn they come into play). That leaves you with a team of 6, or if your using AoC Sasuke, a potential 7 on turn 1. Now that sounds great, but just playing an AoC then Temari AM has the exact stats and is incredibly more consistent.
Saying that, though the effect is extremely limited, S/I is valid and has 2 support both injured and uninjured, something no Temari can brag about. But in the end it’s just not worth it. Platooning is too inconsistent, and when the effect is nothing special, it’s never going to be worth it, especially since Temari Am can give you the same stats (actually better if the platoon isn’t supporting a sasuke) with far more consistency.

Limited: 2/5
Constructed: 1/5 (Too inconsistent and not worth it)
