Wind Blade

Card Number: 123
Rarity - ST

Review Date: 10.24.06

Average Card Rating: 4.15

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale 1 being the worst.
3 ... average. 5 is the highest rating.

dust2dust Wind Blade J-123

Pro:
-can’t be negated

Con:
-specific cost

For our second card of Curse, we have Wind Blade. This is the first wind jutsu that can damage a ninja, as far as I know.

General-
There is really nothing with this card. Just like other cards that does damage to a ninja, this cost 3 chakra. Even though it is specifically 3 wind chakra, with the cards out for wind currently, it isn’t really a big problem. What’s more is that there is not requirement for the card (unlike water dragon and dragon flame), no ninja it can’t affect (unlike Fireball), and no chances (phoenix flower). But the real goodness of this card is its second effect, it can’t be negated. This means the only real way to get out of this card is to get rid of the user itself. Imagine Zabuza using this on anyone, it would be hard to get out of it, any way you look at it.

I expect to see this card being played in multiple decks, that’s how good I think it would be. We’ll see later on though.

Beastly Bruin Wind Blade

Normally, I wouldn't endorse a card with a seemingly underpowered effect and an overpriced cost. However, because my main deck is Water/Wind, I know how much Wind chakra I usually end up with, and two of this card are going to fit PERFECTLY.

I haven't read the official ruling yet, but judging by the wording, I'm guessing that this is yet another card for Zabs to utilize.

As most of you have already found out, giving 1 Damage to one of your opponent's ninjas can completely alter the outcome of a battle, and this card has a built-in semi-immunity. It can't be negated, but everyone's favorite jutsu (8 Trigram) still owns it...along with Giant Vortex.

3 Wind is a lot, no matter how you spin it, but Wind is a powerful element, so it's quite viable.

My advice: If you run Wind or Wind Hybrid, try at least one. I think you'll find the effect is highly useful.

This is a Starter only card, so don't expect to see it in Limited.

Constructed Wind: 4/5
Limited: Starter/5

Wind Blade

Nifty little Wind Jutsu, at a 3 specific cost (Wind|Wind|Wind) it has to have a wonderful effect. Do one damage, cannot be negated.

Okay, this wins. However, chances are it'll still lose it's power if the user gets bumped off before it resolves. Wind deck staple. Period.

Constructed (Wind) - 5/5
Limited - X/5 ( X = number of Wind cards you pulled devided by 3)
Art - 3/5 Baki rocks.

RiiZ

Wind Blade

Now this is a card that might see a lot of play next set. I’ve been hearing a lot of rumors about how strong water wind will be next set, and this card is only a part of the new ninjas and jutsus that will make wind very very competitive. I like this card, because negation is such an important part of the game, and anything that can stop it will become game changing.

This jutsu is very expensive, however. This is only one colorless chakera away from a great break through. Also for the 3 colored chakera, you can normally do a lot of things, return all the cards battling to the opponents hand (vortex), give two damage to one target (dragon flame), or possibly give one damage to every member of the team (phoenix flower). It will be a great replacement for a water dragon in a water wind build thought. All in all I like it, and I’m sure you’ll see it once the new set hits the local tournaments.

Contructed 4/5

Ok lets get this started today's card to be reviewed is Wind Blade ( wow that's some good imagination from the dubbers.sigh.) Moving on let's take a look at the card.

Wind Blade - J123

Jutsu Card - Wind Type

Cost - 3 Wind

Effect:

Target : 1 Ninja

Effect : Give 1 Damage to the target , this jutsu cannot be negated.

Ok now this card is pretty sweet especially for people playing a lot of wind missions because anyone who plays this game knows wind gets up chakra fast. It is basically like fireball jutsu excpet it can't be stopped and any

type can be hit which is good and it keeps the ability to hit ninjas that you aren't battling against which is always good.

This card is great in a mono-wind deck which we might start seeing now because of baki as well as a card to replace fireball jutsu in fire/wind decks. I really like this card and feel it should be used and think we will be seeing a lot of it.

Wind deck: 5/5 Perfect Wind Card
Wind/Something Else 4/5 Good Card
Limited: 3.5/5
Overall : 4.25/5 Not too shaby.

Pro: Cannot be negated
Good Wind jutsu

Con:THREE CHAKRA!!

Today we look at wind blade, a nifty little wind fireball. Like most wind, this card is about control, being that your opponent cannot play a negation no matter what. The bad part of this is that is costs a whopping 3 specific chakra. I think this will help wind take power in the new metagame. I think with how much wind chakra builds up during the game these wont be too bad. Run one or two. I like the card tough.

Constructed:4/5
