It’s Clobberin’ Time

CONSTRUCTED

Every single time I look at this card I have to check out the focus of whatever F4 deck I might be working on because this card and Savage Beatdown are always competing for the same card slot. If there’s room for both great but if not it normally comes down to what the deck is trying to achieve.

I can see this card in a lot of F4 decks because there aren’t a lot of suicide F4 beats decks. This card follows the same concept of One Two Punch, which is to be offensive while trying to keep your attacker from getting stunned. Needless to say this card is a million times better than One, Two punch and when it comes to F4 decks it’s almost a staple…. Almost.

LIMITED

This is another one of those cards that falls under the if you see it take it category. I don’t care if you don’t have many or any F4 characters because you definitely don’t want you r opponent to have this card. It’s a great card in this environment and it’s also a great card to hate draft so TAKE IT!

"Say What"

"You know what"

"I'm not gonna say it"

Well, lookie what we've got here....a plot twist that gives a target attacking character a +3/+3 boost.  Sweet!  Fantastic Four exclusive.....Sweeter!  There's not really a whole lot to say about this card.  However, I will say this much - if you play Fantastic Four, get 4 of these cards........NOW!!!!  What are you waiting for???

This is sort of Savage Beatdown’s little brother.  It doesn't give you as much of an attack boost, but it makes up for it with a nice little defense boost.  As far as I can tell this guy here gives your characters the biggest total boost of any card I can think of....not to shabby for a threshold cost of 3.

Now let's get into the uses of this card.  Beating the **** out of your opponent comes immediately to mind.  Its only drawback (besides the Fantastic Four exclusivity) is that it's only good for when you attack.  It could come in amazingly handy as a defensive card, but we'll never get the chance to play it that way now will we?

In a limited or draft format I would take this guy first pick if possible.  If not for its playability, then definitely for its street value.

Ratings:

Fantastic Four constructed deck – 5.0/5.0 ……IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME!!!

Limited - 3.5/5.0 ……..Pick up some of the common fantastic four characters and whip a little A!

Johnny Blaze It's Clobberin' Time - Another FF specific Plot Twist with a Threshold Cost of 3. A Great staple in any FF deck. Targeting FF Attacker gets +3 Attack and + 3 Defense while attacking. Not only does it give one of your FF members an attack boost it also pumps up their defense by 3. If using a FF deck this card rates very high with a 4.5. Again in Limited unless you can pull off drafting a decent amount of FF characters this card wont cut it.

Paul Hagan It's Clobberin' Time

First, I'd like to say that this is probably one of the best cards Fantastic Four has, and no one seems to pay it any attention. I'm not sure why, but it may have something to do with it being so blatently good that no one wants to say anything. Which means that, yes, as I sat and wrote this down, I couldn't come up with anything to say about it that the other reviewers wouldn't. If you scan the other reviews, you should see:

1) A full set obviously belongs in almost every Fantastic Four deck.

2) It rivals even Savage Beatdown for best pump in the entire set.

3) The boost to attack *and* defense makes in obscenely powerful.

4) It has a reasonable threshold cost.

5) You should pick it up in draft or sealed if you have a fair number of Fantastic Four characters.

Constructed Rating: 4.5
Limited Ration: 3.5
