This deck lost in the last round before the top eight at Gencon. My major problem was that I did not expect an all-burn match up. Both of my match losses were to such decks. Against a creature based deck, I have a great deal of control. Because of the low land count, I made sure that all cards had no more than one colored mana in the casting cost (Jilt has two if you pay the kicker.) The combination of bounce and burn makes short work of most creatures, however, when I thought of Blastoderm, I was panicked. Five damage per turn is not good. I had no solution for this. When I actually saw one played against me, I felt like Archimedes. All I had to do was chump block and bounce my own creature. Another match that I enjoyed was one against a burn deck that played Spellshock. But playing conservatively was the answer and it ended up helping me win the match. I was going to submit this deck to the Peasant site, but the same day that I sent the email, I was fired. So I will never know if they responded. I will try again however. If I get a response from you, I will try my best to recall all of my matches so that I can write up a nice report. Robert Here is my deck list.
