This deck abuses cards with madness and cards that have decent power for their mana cost. The main strategy is to play cards (Rites of Refusal, Tolarian Wind) or abilities (Skywing Aven, Aquamoeba) that allow you to discard your madness cards for decent damage or counter. Nothing in the deck costs more than 3 mana so around turn five you can counter about anything and still play anything during your turn.

Plenty of combos and cheap cards make this a fun deck to play, plus anyone who has played magic for any length of time will have pretty much all the cards for the deck.
