One of the more impactful planeswalkers from
Alara. This guy is most useful for the ability
to constantly throw Lightning Helices at your
opponent to turn any sort of race heavily in
your favor. The lockdown ability to add a
counter is really just there to let you
Lightning Helix more, but it can be useful in
the right situation. The one-sided Geddon is
great, but slow to come out. All in all, a solid
Planeswalker (yes, my opinion of this card has
changed).
In limited, the Lightning Helix ability is
really nice, but the Geddon ability probably
won't matter too much. A mid to high pick if
you're in the colors.

Glad to see most of the card i choose got into
the Top10
Some of the Pros are calling this the best card
in standard, I'd have to say that only
bitterblossom is better.
The ability to lockdown creatures/vital lands
plus a repeatable Lightning Helix is extremely
valuable. If you actually happen to use the
Ultimate ability thats game right there.
If you get this in limited and manage to drop it
your opponent had better find an answer, fast.
In casual it has an easily splashable cost and
excellent abilities
