Scarecrone

Awesome in a Scarecrow deck.  Useless anywhere else.  Well, not completely-- it can bring back Myr Retrievers and Razormane Masticores and the like.  And it's not legendary, so you could work two off each other.  But still, you probably just want it in a Scarecrow deck.

Scarecrone

It took me two or so passes of this card's rules text to fully register that while its first ability is tribe-specific, its second ability isn't. Creatures like Heap Doll, Elf Replica, and Triskelion are already strong, and when they can't truly die, things get very silly very fast. Scarecrone is strong in limited play; many of the Shadowmoor block's scarecrows are playable without it, much less if you can draw a card whenever they die and then bring them back to overwhelm your opponent's defense.

The fact that Alara has a shard with a ton of artifacts should boost up this card's a bit. Right now though, there's just not enough good artifacts for this to be good. Grim Poppet and maybe Triskelavus is all it has which means this card's playability suffers a lot as it's just an overcosted pseudo-cycler.

In casual this is pretty cool because you get to reanimate stuff and getting a Scarecrone drawing loop is ok.

Scarecrone

Constructed: Very nice card. I would use it for any deck because it is colorless. Play it with one mana open and even if they tried to kill it, you can just sac it to draw a card, unless it is split second. To bad there was not more playable Scarecrows.

Casual: If you do not have a Scarecrow deck I recommend making one. This will fit in perfect.

Limited: This would be great to open up in a Sealed deck pool. Just hope to get alot of playable Scarecrows. Draft if it was the first pack I would draft a deck around it.

Overall a good card. The second ability is a little expensive, but to put into play any artifact creature card from your graveyard is awesome. Good thing Darksteel Colossus never goes to the graveyard, and Mindslaver is NOT a creature.
