Niveous Wisps

Useless?  Not as useless as the Laces from Alpha.  The fact that it can tap down a creature at instant speed for one mana and is a cantrip will get it into quite a few Limited decks, and possibly some Constructed ones.  And in Limited, it has an extra use: turning off the Shadowmoor Auras that rely on the color of the enchanted creature.  There aren't that many ways to deal with a creature wearing Runes of the Deus, but by turning it white mid-combat, you can set up some very bad trades.

Constructed- 2.5

Casual- 2.5

Limited- 4

Niveous Wisps

This is one of the better of Shadowmoor's Wisps - tapping a blocker and drawing a card (for just one mana!) is very good in limited. Just ignore the part where it becomes white. Well, unless their other creature is a Ballynock Cohort. If you're drafting white, this is an easy early pick.

Niveous Wisp

Constructed:  Block: Three awesome effects for just 1 white, that's a instant. This card has control written all over it. Change a creatures color to white, hose out some of those crazy Auras that color matters. Make it Shriekmaw food. All sorts of crazy stuff. A white Twiddle? EOT all over the place. Draw a card, it replaces itself. It should see alot of play in blue/white control maybe. Other formats not as great, but should see some play.

Casual: Not too many people will have fun with it. More for the serious players out there.

Limited: Good solid pick for white, about fourth or higher. Sealed deck is a great main deck card for any deck with white. It can stop a deadly attack or move a key blocker out of the way for one of your guys to get threw. Basically, when both side are clutter with creatures and it is a standstill, it can change the game.

Great card overall. Have fun.
