Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile

This is one serious card for limited play. There have been a lot of creatures created in the past that can deal damage to one attacking creature, or one blocking creature. Brigid deals TWO big points of damage to ALL attacking or blocking creatures. Brigid may only have a 2/3 body, but she can hold off your opponent’s whole team from attacking. What’s more, she can block and kill a 4/4 attacker all by herself! Brigid could find a place in block constructed decks, but her real day in the sun will be in the limited arena.

Two damage to EACH attacking or blocking creature target player controls? That's powerful. So powerful that no opponent will ever walk into it, making Kithkin fans the world over wish she had Vigilance instead of First Strike. If you can give her vigilance, so much the better.
Even witout it though, this pretty much renders combat unwinnable for many limited decks, and quite a few constructed ones. Expect her to draw a lot of fire or own a lot of tables.

Friday - Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile

An absolutely devastating card...in limited. In constructed, maybe as a sideboard card against opposing weenie rushes, but other than that I don't see much of a use. She does help out against Tarmogoyf, though.
4 mana is an awful lot though, and she doesn't even have Vigilance to go with that ability.

In limited, this is an absolute bomb. Your opponent can't attack or block with her out, unless they want to have their board demolished.
Do NOT pass it unless you have no white whatsoever.

Brigid is quite a cool card, and does a good job of showing off how much Kithkin love the combat step. The ability, though, is probably too situational and Brigid herself too easily stopped to see much play in constructed. I'd be open to someone suggesting how to do so, though! She is an out-and-out limited bomb, making there almost no safe way for your opponent to attack or block.

Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile:

Not sure what to think of this card. Certainly a champ in limited, and possibly in casual/multi.

You could probably sideboard it in constructed for use against weeny decks.

In constructed, just no... I'm pretty sure someone else will say this is bad here so I'll skip it. But if it doesn't, just remember 4 mana for 2/3 with a bad ability is no good.

In casual, same thing.

It's pretty good in limited though, making combat very difficult for your opponent. It also has a decent size body, taking out any non-first strike x/4 before it even receives combat.

Friday's card is Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile from Lorwyn.  Although Kithkin themselves are all about the weenie rush, Brigid can effectively take down a whole horde of attacking creatures coming at you.  She can also help if your opponent decides to chump-block your army with a ton of tokens.  Lorwyn has made generating 1/1 tokens fairly easy, and I'm sure we've all faced the horde of tokens coming at us at one time playing casual.  Fear the hordes no more, that is if you can find space for her in your deck.
