MIRRODIN PICS ARE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the full Rare list posted on some eBay auctions. Click here to see the full list and click on each name to see the picture of each card.  The set is REALLY different, and will bring a huge change to the way we play...you have to see the new Mox and Lotus!!!!!

Constructed: 3
Limited: 3.75

It's... interesting.  This card has some real potential in the new environment, and only time will tell just how useful it will be.  Though it's not the same thing as the original, neither does it cause you to sacrifice it to get 3 mana.  It will have its place.

In limited, I think by the time you get to 5 mana, you're probably color set already.  Gilded Lotus will be most useful in decks that have a few really high costed spells that need that boost to get them cast, like the Tower of Fortunes, Tower of Eons, and Tower of Murmers (you can see all these cards Here).  Lotus would definitely ease the pain of activating them, and dang, wouldn't you love to draw 4 cards, or gain life, mill a library away, or other high casting cost goodies each turn? Yeah, you would. =)

Constructed: 3
Limited: 4 (situational)

Ah, the "Lotus" effect. By that I mean put the word "Lotus" in the name of the card, and give it a Lotus-like mana producing ability,  and watch it become a chase rare for at least the first couple of weeks. Right now, you can look on Ebay, and see it is the most expensive card in the set right now (at least, last time I checked). Unload them as soon as you can, though, as this will be used about as much as Lotus Vale, the last similar card that got similar hype.

In limited, it's a mana smoother. If you're not keeping what you draft, don't bother to draft this any higher than 7th-8th pick.

Constructed: 1
Limited: 2 (there will be a 5 color deck on most tables, and this is amazing in it. If you are the 5 color deck, this becomes a 4-4.25.)

Gilded Lotus is interesting. 5 mana now gets you +3 mana latter. Still, if you can pump 5 mana into this artifact how important is the 3 mana boost. Perhaps, the saving grace is the fact that the mana is of any needed color but still.

Constructed - Acceleration is always good but at what price is it wasted - 2.75

Limited - What a way to even out colored mana in a long game - 3.10
