What can I say here that everyone else isn't going to say... Entomb works in Reanimator decks. Otherwise, not a heck of a lot of other uses. In limited, he's pretty much worthless.

This was restricted due to the Worldgorger Dragon combo still being available in type 1, and to have it banned for type 1.5. Given their reluctance to issue errata, the better choice, errataing the Dragon's leaves play ability with "if you played it from your hand," and to leave Reanimator untouched (never mind you would have to restrict a bunch of cards that way), this is the best choice.

In type 2, is an alternate card for getting your creatures in the grave for Reanimator. Buried Alive works much better though, and Stitch Together relys on Threshold, so you have to find a way to get to 7 for Entomb to be useful, unless you're just using Zombify, of course.

In limited, unless you also have a great creature to reanimate and a Zombify in your pool, you'll want to pass.

Entomb is just good, custom made for Reanimate decks. Really a powerhouse for these builds.

Constructed - Perfect cost and potentially powerful - 4.50

Limited - How much reanimate do you have? - 1.50

Another bystander in the DCI's attempts to control degenerate combo decks.  Again, by itself Entomb is just a narrow utility card used for Flashback and reanimator purposes, but with the printing of Worldgorger Dragon this card became a key component in a degenerate combo.  In Extended and Type II Entomb serves as a reanimator tool and is definitely not remotely considered in need of being restricted.  It has a job and it does that job efficiently.

Caution: Rant ahead.  The DCI should unrestrict Entomb and either restrict or ban the stupid dragon, many cards have taken the fall for combos and should be set free and the real culprits should be held responsible.  Unban Dark Ritual in Extended!  Necro is gone (as it should have been a long time ago).

Oh yeah, card review.

Instant speed and one mana,  both good things,  and it lets you get what you
want,  but it's inherently card disadvantage,  so it requires flashback
spells or a creature that can be recursed/reanimated to be worthwhile, and
suddenly your deck fits a very specific few archetypes.  In limited it will
very rarely see play because of this, unless you're packing a roar of the
wurm or an eternal dragon (yes, that would be a weird limited format).

Thee reanimtor card. Dump a creature turn one with this, and next turn Enhume it or Reanimate it, etc, etc. Reanimator has become more and more vunerable since there are now way too many ways to disrupt/stop it.

In limited the best you could do is get a flashback card. Entomb is a little too limited in use here.

Constructed: 3.5
Limited: 1.5
