Infinity Gauntlet showdown Scenario by Francesco Rook

This is easily the most loved scenario me and my friends play with.  We play it at least at every session.  This game works best in a 1200 to 1800 total point range (divided among all players)

Thanos has finally seized the Infinity Gauntlet and is poised to rule the Universe.   To impress Lady Death, his mistress, he has assembled earth’s mightiest heroes and villains to wage war against him.  Thanos will not give up his prize easily.  He has become more powerful than ever before. Who will land the final blow to Thanos and hold the Gauntlet high?

The Goal

1. You must grab the Gauntlet from Thanos and stand triumphant over the battlefield.

The Setup

1.                  The battlefield will be an outside map.

2.                  Place objects as per standard rules

3.                  Place Thanos (or a comparable strength character 150+ points value) in the center of the field

4.                  Place a special marker underneath him to show the Gauntlet

The House Rules

1.                  The person holding the Gauntlet is considered to have the following powers in addition to those on his combat dial: Ranged Combat Expert, Close Combat Expert, Willpower, Impervious, Super Strength, Phasing and Energy Deflection.  Powers like Impervious, Invulnerability and Toughness are not cumulative but Energy Deflection can be added to all of them.  Ragardless of Combat dial, the character with the Gauntlet gains a Range attack of 10 squares.

2.                  The person holding the Gauntlet cannot be carried and is immune to the following powers: Telekinesis, Psychic Blast, Outwit, Exploit Weakness, Probability Control and Mind Control.

3.                  Thanos will play last on each turn and will be controlled by a player at random and then by each player going clockwise.  Once a player takes control of the Gauntlet, that character will play after his team and his actions will not be counted towards the team’s total.

4.                  Once a character manages to pick up the gauntlet, return his dial to starting position, healing him completely. The character holding the Gauntlet is allowed two actions per turn and both action tokens are removed at the end of his turn.

5.        When the character holding the Gauntlet is KO'ed, remove the figure and leave the marker there.  The next character to move over the marker will pick up the Gauntlet.  The Gauntlet cannot be dropped or handed to another friendly character (THere is no ''Thanos'' is the word team)

6.        Once a character picks up the Gauntlet, he cannot take any other other actions until his next turn while he adjusts to the power surge brought by the Gauntlet.

The End:

1.       The game ends when one team is defeated and the player holding the Gauntlet is considered the winner.  If Thanos still holds the Gauntlet when one team is defeated, the game is considered a draw.
