Today's review is Plastic Man from Justice League

 

Basically, because back in the day DC could not get the rights to plastic man…they made Elongated Man.  Funny how I like Ralph Dibny’s character so much more.

 

He is a veteran(uncommon), 55 points, 4 range 1 target, 6 clicks of life, a flying transporter, and JLA team

Speed:   Transporter means HSS-lite.  HSS and Stealth could turn out to be a GREAT combo.  Plasticity is very situational, and earthbound…we it sucks

Attack:  Basically the same as Aquaman’s minus the powers, nothing great

Defense:  Lowish numbers again, toughness can keep him around, Super Senses can help if your lucky


Damage:  Why 2 damage to start?  I love Shape change…too abd it isn’t with super senses and stealth combined…then we would have an ultra annoying piece.  CCE can help on those low damage clicks, but then again, being tied up will lead to your almost assured death.

 
The Good:  Transporter

      Transporter with stealth and Shape Change

     

The Bad:  Attack values are awful during transporter attacks

                Won’t be hard to hurt him once he is hit


Feats:  Camouflage works great on him, nanobots can work, but I would just stick to camo.  Entangle could make him more annoying…but do you risk that many points on this?


Overall:  Here is a piece that I can see getting a lot of use out of.  For one, he is a flying transporter…so on those turns where you are just getting him into position while being a taxi, then it doesn’t cost an action.  He is a transporter…which is always a good thing.  Opening stealth seems cool, and since he flies you can hit, run, and park yourself right in stealth.  Then, Camo can keep him stealthed just being next to a thing of blocking terrain…making him even better. I see him as being a great support/annoyance piece.  I love transporters and I love Shape Change…so this might inflate the score a bit but I see some good coming from him.  He gets a half point less for only having the 2 damage to start.

 Speed  -- 9 is fast enough to transport. JLA Team and transporting will really come handy here. Too bad about the late-dial Earthbound.

 Attack  -- Think of it as a 7; Transporter Ability slashes 2 off attack when you use it. I don't mind, seeing as I only use that power for the fun of it when I can attack the opponent and still taxi in someone.

 Defense  -- Toughness helps Plas stay in the game, which helps me lug the brick around the board, which helps me win! Super Senses isn't bad either.

 Damage  -- If that 3 started he would get 4/5 stars. The first three clicks of Shape Change guarantees that all dial, you can't hit Plas if you roll a 5 or 6.

 Sculpt  -- It speaks for itself here.

~~ Double Time needs to be in the next set. Great defense powers and numbers will just make him more annoying to kill (in a good way). Plastic Man has a few drawbacks, but what figure doesn't? I see him as the new Lockjaw, only less almighty. ~~

Comparing: I give Plastic Man (Hypertime) 1.5/5 stars.
                  I give Plastic Man (Cosmic Justice LE) 2.5/5 stars.
                  I give Plastic Man (Justice League) 3.75/5 stars.

 Next: ANOTHER Hypertime remake. But he also appeared in Icons as a Unique. Try and figure this one out.
