Today we'll be reviewing Tony Stark from Armor Wars

This is the Original Iron man.  The one that was only around for a couple comic books, until they decided to make him cooler looking.  But I personal think it’s awesome that they’re making him.  THIS is the type of thing I think of when I think of a RARE figure. Sure, I will have to buy an entire click brick to be ABLE to purchase him, but I normally buy JUST that much anyway, so that will be okay…not sure if this will really get the “kids” into the game more.  Then again, I’m an adult and I have no kids.  SO what does any of this matter to me?  I can afford him.  What else am I going to spend it on?  Rent?  Food?  A girlfriend?  Of course not, I’m spending it on a Heroclick!

Unique:    100, No team, 8 range/1 target. 7 clicks of life.

MOVEMENT:  8 with force blast for 2 pointless clicks in the middle.

ATTACK:  (9,9,9,8,8 with super strength), 7 and 9 with the last click of pulse wave.

DEFENSE:  (16,15 with invulnerability), (16,16,16,15 with toughness), 15

DAMAGE:  (3,3 with outwit) 3,3, (2,2 with ranged combat expert) and 1 with outwit

SCULPT:  How do you not love the old Tin Iron?

OVERALL:

Ø       Very consistent Ultimate Thor like attack value

Ø       While it is Ultimate Thor like in consistency, Tony only starts on a nine attack, instead of 12.

Ø       Lots of damage reduction

Ø       Opening couple clicks of Outwit.  By far the best thing you want on an opening click for damage.

Ø       Super strength could come in handy.

Ø       No movement powers.

Ø       How do you not like his ending pulse wave and outwit click?

Tony is by no means game breaking.  I love how his click lays out and for 75 points he’d be great, but for 100 he’s not.  It all comes down to movement abilities now days.  Tony only has force blast, which I barely feel I have to mention how useless that is.  His outwit and consistently semi high numbers make him always useful, he barely has a bad click.  If he can be telekinesised into action I think he’d have potential.  I think his flying is practically a hindrance, keeping him from being carried by Lockjaw.  Personally I do think this is the best version of Iron Man.  Yes even over Ultimates, whom I never liked.  In a theme game that you need to play Iron Man and some others, I would play him.  For highly competitive games, the lack of move and shoot leaves him in the can.

HE RECEIVES A 3.5 OUT OF A POSSIBLE 5 THUMBS UP!

Good, Bad, I’m the Guy with the Clix
