Stormwolf
Harpoon. Member of the Marauders, responsible for Angel losing his wings. Somewhat of an obscure character, only used in 1 storyline back in the 80's. Lets look at the click.

Cost: Rookie: 40 pts, 6 clicks of life
Experienced: 42 points, 6 clicks of life
Veteran: 46 points, 7 clicks of life

Movement~ All versions start off with a movement of 8, with 2 clicks of running shot. Not too shabby.

Attack~ Starts of at 9 for the R/E, 10 on the Vet. Gains 3 or 4 clicks of Energy Explosion in the heart of the dial. Again, not too bad for a budget piece.

Defense~ 15 start on all versions, but all versions also start off with 3(4 for the vet) clicks of Energy Shields/Deflection! Thats reallly nice for a budget piece!

Damage~ Starts at 1 and stays there while he has ranged expertise, then goes up to 2 when he loses it. Yawn.

Sculpt~ Well....it's representative of what the character actually looked like. Clean paint job and nice, simple pose can't disguise the horrid visual concept for the chatracter. The bowl haircut still makes me cringe.

Final Thoughts~  If you've bought a few Mutant Mayhem boosters, doubtless you've gotten this guy. I have about 14. And haven't used them. once. There is just far, FAR better you could get for the points, and of course he's really quite an ugly character.

Overall Score~ 2.25 / 5

Ah what do we have today? Harpoon. Mediocrity at its finest. For 40-42-46 you get a filler piece. There are much better filler pieces for 46 points like oh I dont know, two vet scourges? Well if you're playing all marvel I guess this works. He doesn't change very much through his clicks. He's a ranged combatant with only 6 range and one target. The vet and exp boast a slightly higher attack and an extra click of 8 movement over the rookie but they all get their energy explosion a click later. Decent trade off I guess. The vet also gets an extra click of energy shield deflection. So with all of them either you have 6 range for three damage or 10 range for one damage. I can think of plenty of figures that do that. E havok for example, and he can move for free. Madam hydra. And quite a few others. Basically stay away from this click. He isn't bad if you have 40+ points to waste but id ratehr use 3 con artists and a medic, yes I like abusing my generics what you gonna do about it?

100: 1.456/5 Dude you dont have 40 points to waste
200: 2.566/5 Better than average here, low point cost, reasonably high defense, and no impervious means that he could actually work
300: 1.945/5 You could do a lot better
400: 2.056/5 Pretty good mastermind fodder I guess.
500: 1.556/5 Free points for your opponent.

Are we ever gonna get to review good clicks? Only decent one ive seen since I was hiered is Northstar and I had a big test so I had to miss that review. Dagger was ok I guess but when are we gonna get to clicks like N'Statirh?
