Today we review professor zoom. If you want to know how he is as a comic book charecter think flash but evil. If you want to know how he is as a clix think flash but good. For 99 points you get a flash with a few more options, and with a movement spike and phasing at the end to get back to mama medic. He also has some late dial outwit, so in larger point games you can leave him in danger and outwit so one of your bigger pieces can attack. His starting defense is a relatively high 17 with supersenses making him hard enough to hit. His damage is 2 for four clix and then 1 for three with some mid dial exploid weakness, which you wont be using if you know whats good for you and zoom. He has some late dial blades claws fangs, which unfortunately does not work with HSS so you probably shouldnt use it either. I personally really like this figure, he offers a few more options than most other HSS'rs.

100: 1.112/5 just no
200: 1.667/5 not really he needs a few feat cards to work right
300: 2.764/5 it could work
400: 3.401/5 yeah he shines here
500: 3.212/5 he goes down a bit because other stronger figs will easily kill him

Dario Today it’s another guy from Icons: Professor Zoom. Honestly, I know about
this dude pretty much the same as whoclix, so go there. If you’re too lazy,
I’ll just let you know that this is a Flash’ foe who used to be friends with

him; he has pretty much the same powers my personal favorite superhero. This

guy has 7 clicks of health, no TA, no range, and he costs 99 points. Is he
worth it?:

Stats:

Speed: 14, 13, 12, 11, 11, 15, 15. HSS from the 1st to the 5th, then the
last 2 are Phasing.

Attack: 10, 9, 9, 8, 8, 7, 6. B/C/F the last 3 clicks.

Defense: 17, 16, 15, 14, 16, 15, 15. Super Senses the first 3 clicks
followed by 2 of Energy Shield/Deflection.

Damage: 2, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1. Exploit Weakness for the 3rd and 4th clicks,
then Outwit the last 2.

Analysis: This character isn’t bad designed. He has very decent attack
values, HSS with pretty good numbers and then Phasing, which allows him to
run away straight to a medic if you want; low yet expectable damage values,
with some Exploit Weakness to get some damage through damage reducing
defenses and some Outwit to help your team; and decent defense values with
some nice defensive powers to make it hard to hit him. But, the Outwit at
the end, although helpful, would be MUCH better if they were up front the
dial. also, those two final 15’s aren’t so nice, a lower defense would have
been better to make it easy to heal him. Also, I don’t know why they put the

14 with Energy S/D and then the 16 and not the other way around. But the
main problem with this character is the cost. I understand that 99 points
it’s not THAT high considering the defense (with those powers), the speed
values with that HSS and then Phasing, and the Outwit… but the thing is, he
doesn’t offer any kind support ability (just the Outwit, at the end, when
you are gonna try to heal him and thus, lose it) and also, he hits for two
low… I mean he’s not a supporter of any tipe, he’s not a first string
attacker, he’s not a second string attacker… he barely qualifies as a third
string attacker. He can be ignored by the big characters easily, and he’s
too costy to be just a support-killer.

Conclusion: He will se some play in casual play, and might see some in high
points game. In 300 points game, he’ll be used only by fans of him.

Ranking:
100 – 1.5/5 It’s not 1 because they may never get to hit him :P
200 – 1/5 Not a good idea…
300 – 2/5 Better, but yet…he takes too much space…
400+ – 3/5.

Hello everyone, The name is malemonkley and I'm the newest Pojo.com heroclix reviewer. So enough with the introductions on to the reviews!

Professor Zoom

Unique

99 points 14,13,12,11,11,15,15 5 slots of super strength 2 of phasing
10,9,9,8,7,6 BCF on the last three slots
17,16,15,14,16,15,15 3 of Super Senses two of Energy Deflection
2,2,2,2,1,1,1 2 slots of Exploit Witness and 2 of outwit on the back end

Review:
I love HSS figs. In general they're my style (hit and run). Now then Professor Zoom is awesome for his point cost. HSS is strong, and he has the attack to back it up. His defense is solid with Super Senses giving him a decent defense. Down on the other side, the phasing combines well with the Outwit to let you get back to your healer. Now here is my problem with him. Two of his best abilities, Exploit Weakness and BCF don't mix with his Hypersonic (which also cursed the LE Shazam) meaning you cannot run up and hit for six, or an unblockable two. That bites to me. Cards to use with him: ICWO will always help. Armor Piercing is a must as it is on all HSS people. Final thoughts: He's good for what he does, with the point cost to have him be a solid secondary attacker. Just use him for the hit and run strategy, and watch as your opponent cries. 200 4/5 (Give him a little bit of support and he can be an awesome primary attaker)

300 3.5/5 (Solid secondary attacker)
400 3.5/5 (See 300 point)
500+ 2/5 (At this point level you need something with damage reducers and a deeper dial)
