Aardvark

This card combines well with a deck containing huge threats. If you're running creatures, think in terms of trolls and dragons. If you're doing spells or items, it goes nicely with Bulgeye Potion, Mid-Air Collision, and Malevolent Mixture. Meanwhile, smaller stuff that your opponent runs, like Pulling Up, Toe Biter, or owls are greatly diminished or even negated entirely. If your area emphasizes a lot of small and "light" stuff, include this in your heavy and plodding deck, and watch them squirm. It's too bad you can only have one location in play at a time. For that reason, you don't want to include more than 2 of these in such a deck. And don't include any other locations either. Choose the best location for your deck and play just that one - you don't want to have cards sitting in your hand.

This card is interesting...only bad thing is it prevents damage from YOUR spells too. But, it fits disaster decks very well. You can use this card against Owls to prevent them from doing any damage to you, so Eeyloops effect is nullified! Same with Hagrid, you can bring Vicious Wolf and Guard Down down to 2 damage so Hagrid doesn't boost them. But, these kinds of decks are rare nowadays, so this card has little use...

MadEye

If you play denial decks, this is your savior! It can protect you from little creatures and puny spells. It is a great Location blocker card too (keeping their locations out of play). It will buy you enough time to get to your bigger cards (like PCDisater, Trans Exam, or Potions Exam). If you idea is to hold off an opponent until time sees fit to hit with big damage hitters, then this is your must have card. I also should advise that when you have your opponent down big time, you might think of replacing this with Gringotts before you begin your onslaught. Why, you ask? Because if they are without cards in play and you are holding a bunch of damage cards, why not play as many at once as you can and gain back the one damage each time you would lose by leaving it out. It will work just as well if you leave it there, but this way the game may end in fewer turns preventing any comebacks.

You know what this card is perfect if you don't want to do damage to your opponent. Now I know what you're thinking how am I going to win if I don't do damage? Well that answer is simple, D-E-N-I-A-L! The fine art of Denial is just under used in Harry Potter. Now yours truly knows the fine art of Obliviation and Snape, knows all about Potion Class Disasters, so If you're making sure your opponent can't get alot of power, so that he can only play weak spells, well this will just make those spells even weaker. I know it might weaken some of yours too, but thats not your goal, your goal is Denial! Now if you're not going to play denial then what the heck are you doing putting this card in your deck.

Talk about a pain in the but for creature decks. If you know your opponent is playing creatures, go for Madam Milkin's, Dragon Hide Gloves, Purcupine Robes, and Winged Keys. I'm not sure how you would win with a deck like that.... maybe just forcing your opponent to submit out of frustration. This is a great card if you are only counting on heavy hitters. If you rely on lots of small damage cards to kill your opponent like creatures or quidditch... this card might just work against you though.

This one is lovely! If your opponent rely's on lots of separate moderate damage, this card saves your life! Very much of use in a hard hitting deck! I am using it and am sure it will be used more often in hard hitting Potion's or CMC decks. With the location we got a sneak peak at last week, Potion's Dungeon, this card will grow stronger even strong than it is right now!
