Yes, this card can be used to get a healing item (Silver Unicorn Horn) out of the discard pile. That's a unique feat of magic in the Harry Potter card game, at the moment. Is this a worthwhile enough cause to use two actions of drawing and playing to accomplish? I think you know the answer by now. If you're really keen on getting back items from your discard pile, I suggest Christmas Feast or Tawny Owl. Both are cheap to cast. One gives you up to four items in one shot, and the other gives you a one power dork to harass and annoy your opponent. I would like to point out that this card combos well with a freakin' huge healing item coming out in the Adventures at Hogwarts set soon. But this rating won't account for that fact, so it only gets a...

This is a great one power card. The best one made yet in my opinion. Draco Malfoy, Slytherin players should love this card. It will get you whatever item you need, including that illustrious Silver Unicorn Horn, back in your hand. The only card that can resurrect a healing card from the discard pile. Sure you can use Christmas Feast but when you need more than just 4 of those, this is your next pick. Plus if you are using the Silver Unicorn Horn, it is a must to increase the number of healers in your hand. This is also a great card if you are playing against denial decks. Those decks try to keep you under 4 power and that won't even hurt Ollivanders at all, so you can go get your wands or books back without getting to 4 power first.

Well if you want a wand, Ollivanders is what you want, ain't no finer wands. It lets you take one item from your discard pile and put it into your hand. Now for the sheer novelity factor, Ollivanders is the only card that lets you get a healing card from your discard pile and that is Silver Unicorn Horn (Editor's Note, I believe this to be true, but there might have been a ruling against this logic, but who you going to be, Professor Lockhart of course). Now besides that novelity factor, I think that if you really want an item from your discard pile, then christmas feast is what you want. For 4C, you get 4 items from your discard pile, now I can see the use for Ollivanders if you aren't going to be playing with very many items, it'll get you that item, but hopefully if you're only playing with a couple of items, your games outcome won't hang in the balance because of one card. It has potential and could be handy so if you need items, go for it.

Olivanders is not a bad card nowadays! I really like the picture, so I tend to throw this in decks whether it needs it or not and sometimes it comes in handy. For a power of four, you can play Christmas Feast and get four items back.... BUT!!!! Old Mr. Olivanders is a crafty little bugger! He will get you back a Healing Item! The only card right now that will get back a healing anything as far as i know. SO! Here's the deck.... Silver Unicorn Horns, Olivanders, Hedwigs, Vault Keys, Cauldron Shops, and.... Fumos... and.... Shrinking Potion.... throw in some Unicorns and we might have a really annoying deck here folx! Pretty Much, go for Olivanders if you are only running a couple items and want to get back that Hospital Bed or Silver Unicorn Hair. Otherwise, eat like a king and go for Christmas Feast.

Very good card as ( I am sure I will not be the only one saying this) it is the only card in the whole 3 sets that allow you to get a healing card out of your discard pile. I have used it but usually Christmas Feast turns out to be of better use. If using only 2 different items in your deck ( usually SUH and Bulgeye Potion), Ollivanders will become very handy as you don't have any restrictions on which item to take from your discard pile to your deck. Also, if it is required that you discard a borrowed wand and want it back quickly, Ollivanders will definitely be a better choice than Christmas Feast since it requires less power. In all other situations in which you want to retrieve items, Christmas Feast is the best choice.
