SNUFFLES TOTAL TWEAKAGE     SNUFFLES TOTAL TWEAKAGE

Ok, I just got started playing the HP TCG and played the starter game a few times with my friends and really liked it so I decided to make my first deck and play it at a local mall. This is what I got right now:

Starting Character:

Madam Hooch

Supporting Characters:

Oliver Wood

Adventures:

1x Gaze into the Mirror

3x Hagrid Needs Help

Items:

1x Nimbus 2000

1x Comet Two 60

Matches:

 1x Slytherin

2x Hufflepuff

Quidditch:

3x Pulling up

4x Ouch!

2x Searching for the Snitch

4x Fouled!

2x Catch the Snitch

2x Power Play

Potions:

3x Jawbind Potion

3x Bruisewort Balm

3x Bloodroot Potion

COMC:

3x Vicious Wolf

2x Cunning Fox

Lessons:

9x COMC

10x Potions

And That'/s my deck! My basic strategy is to just finish him off with spells and the matches. The creatures are there just to put the icing on the cake. Please give me any advice you can give. And to get a new cards is not a problem. Thank you very much.

Hey there.  This is definitely a good shot at your first deck.  Let me tell you, my first deck stank to the high heavens!!!  Anywho, first thing I would like to see is stronger Potions Damage.  These should be your finishing cards while the Quidditch and the Creatures are your Early-Middle game cards.  Also, I am a big fan of sticking to one kind of broom for a specific deck.  This seems to be more of a Nimbus 2000 deck than a Comet 260 deck, so just concentrate on that instead of having two brooms.  I am torn about two cards in your deck and I will leave the choice up to you.  You don't have a whole lot of creature control hear, so if you find creatures are a threat to you, consider In the Stands or Riding the Centaur for other Adventure options.  Also…. Jawbind Potion protects your creatures and yourself, but Dungbomb might be a better choice for you since once again, not a whole lot of critter control here.  Anywho, I'll shut up now and tell you what I did.

Deck Name:  Silly goose, you need one of these!  I kinda like Into the Forest with a kettle and a broom.  But that's kinda long, hey?!?!  Howabout Kettles and Broomsticks.  Sounds like a movie or a funny curse word or something and the critters will come as a surprise if your opponent knows the name of your deck.  Hmmm…. Kettlesticks?  CritterSticks in a pot?  oh well….  Kettles and Broomsticks or whatever you want to call it!

Starting Character:  Groovy!!!!!

Backup Character:  Shagadelik!!!!!!  We don't want too many of these, but one Wood just in case could come in handy.

Adventures:  Gaze into the Mirror has got to go!  It doesn't really fit the theme nearly as well as Hagrid Needs Help does and If you are Fouling them and Hagrid Needs Helping them, they are liable not to be able to use all their actions to hurt you very often anyway!  I really like Hagrid Needs Help in here, but as I said, you might consider an Anti Creature Adventure.

Items:  Switch out the Comet for another Nimbus.  You got a decent amount of Quid Damage in here and it gets up to 7 relatively quickly even though you don't have any advancement.  I kept toying around with a Cauldron, but I don't think you really need it.

Matches:  Slytherin Match is just a little risky here.  I suggest just sticking to the 3 Hufflepuff because 8 damage is sooooooooo easy for you.

Quidditch:  I simplified this a bit.  I took out the Searching because you need your actions with this deck and I'm not sure how well this would help since this thing can be a serious drawing machine.  Power Play and Catch the Snitch are a little Iffy here also.  Power Play will sit in your hand until you draw a match as will Catch the Snitch and you don't really need either of these, so axe these.  These might have been in due to Slytherin Match in which case I could understand, but if you only have one Slytherin Match, these won't help you out too much.

Potions:  Bloodroot Potion?  Is that for creature control?  Potions is bad for creature control and Quidditch is worse.  I think the best option for killing creatures you are going to find is other creatures.  Up these to Malevolent Mixtures and hit them where it hurts.  Consider Dungbomb in place of Jawbind Potion.

Creatures:  Nice Choices here.  Throw in some Doxy so that you don't get totally overwhelmed.  I'm also adding a couple creatures so your opponent has to worry about them and your spells.

Lessons:  Just a couple more should do it so you don't get stuck shorthanded.
