Hello ProfLupin,

Would you fix my deck It needs serious help.  it's 2-2.

The point of this deck is to play matches like ravenclaw match and hufflepuff match early and then do slytherin match when i need help for healing.  I also have oliver to make sure i win the match.  I also made it with incarcifors and take roots to get rid of those pesky creatures.  I also play on apprentice. Well here's my deck.

Hey Trunks,
Well, it's me with finally a new deck fix with the much anticipated set Quidditch Cup. Sorry I couldn't do this sooner, I'm working on the Books Section now (Spell page ;/). Decks have changed and many new decks have surfaced from this set. This particular deck features the new type Quidditch and good ol' Transfiguration ;p There is also the new card type called Matches in this deck. These are like Adventures for both of you to try and solve (before your opponent does), but only take 1 action to play. You “win” the Match by doing a certain amount of damage to the opponent while the Match is in play. The rewards for Matches are usually pretty good, so many play these new cards. Well, let's get to it:

Characters
Hmmm....Abbot is a good choice for support. I don’t see why Oliver Wood is needed much, so let’s pull him off the field ;/

-2 Oliver Wood

Spells

Got some good direct damage cards here…but not much technical cards, really…How bout:

-1 Power Play

-2 Pulling Up

-4 Incarcifors

+3 Catch the Snitch

+4 Transfiguration Test

There, since Slytherin Match is a VERY volatile card (this thing can backfire, big time ;/) it needs control to play. That’s where Catch the Snitch(7Q, it’s a bit expensive) comes in. When you aren’t sure they aren’t gonna pull heavy damage next turn, just play this baby right after you play a match. Or even better, you can really aggravate your opponent by using Catch the Snitch right before they were gonna win the match, though that’s sorta hard to pull off. But don’t play it too fast or you could have done some major damage with your Bludgers.

Items

Bludgers are really good, as they act like creatures when a Match is in play. The thing to be careful for is No Time to Play, the 4T spell that can shatter your setup if you’re reckless. And…why not try a broom? Lesse…

+1 Bludger

+3 Nimbus 2000

I had to think hard about what broom would help the most…and I came with the Nimbus 2000. It suits your deck well since it can act as a Reubeus Hagrid for Bludgers and can beef up the spell damage which helps a lot in a Match.

Matches/Adventures

Ah…I see no need to add any adventures or modify the matches…darn, I wanna do something to it :/

Lessons

Alright…just take out 1 to fit the brooms in…

-1 Quidditch

That’s it. Oh, and there’s a new thing I’m doing. I playtested this deck to make sure it works and I’m planning to do that on all my other fixes. Now for the finished version…

In short, you had a great deck already, but it needed a bit of work. Quidditch blends well with Transfiguration since Q has no anti creature, and Transfiguration works nicely to cover that up. I know Trunks personally, since he is a member our PojoHP TCG League. Some of the best players in the world play here, including me, Mad_eye, Snuffles, and profpoke! To join go to www.myleague.com/harrypotter ! Then chat with us at the CCG Chat room, we are glad to help.

Hope this helps,
