JoyRide Entertainment announces
Fullmetal Alchemist TCG: Alchemists’ Brotherhood

July 27, 2006

CHARLOTTE, NC (July 27, 2006) – JoyRide Entertainment today announced an exciting new addition to the Fullmetal Alchemist TCG: the Alchemists’ Brotherhood, a subscription-based service offering news, interviews, and exclusive cards. The Brotherhood will be offered on a monthly basis and will first be available for purchase at Gen Con Indy, Aug. 10-13.

Subscribers to the Alchemists’ Brotherhood will receive a four-page newsletter chock full of exclusive content, some of which will never be available elsewhere. The first issue will include strategy for the new FMA TCG set, Alchemists’ Gate and an interview with the voice of Edward Elric, Vic Mignogna!

But the biggest benefit to being a member of the Brotherhood is the exclusive cards that will only be available to subscribers. Each month, JoyRide will ship eight foil promo cards direct to Brotherhood members:

  • One holiday-themed reprint card
  • Three alternate-art reprint cards (one copy each of three different cards)
  • One gameplay-exclusive leader card
  • Three copies of one gameplay-exclusive non-leader card (ally, event, attachment, or advantage)

For the first month (August), the cards will be:

  • Challenge the Sun (holiday reprint, celebrating the FMA TCG World Championships)
  • Edward Elric, Strategist; Out the Window; and Envy, Copycat (alternate-art reprint cards)
  • Roy Mustang, In His Footsteps (gameplay-exclusive leader)
  • Help Is On the Way (gameplay-exclusive event)

All card images will be updated shortly before the package is offered for sale, typically after the 10th of each month.

For all this – an exclusive newsletter and eight exclusive foil promo cards – you’d probably expect membership in the Fan Club to cost an auto-mail arm and leg, but you’d be wrong! You can get all this for only $10/month, less than the cost of a theme deck! Or, if you’re a long-term thinker, you can order a six-month subscription for just $50, effectively getting a whole month free!

Players can purchase the initial newsletter and cards at Gen Con Indy Aug. 10-13. Details on how to order online will be available shortly thereafter. Don’t miss out on this great deal!

About Fullmetal Alchemist TCG

Based on the top-rated anime series on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, JoyRide Entertainment’s Fullmetal Alchemist TCG released in August 2005 and has been followed by three expansion sets. The next expansion set, Alchemists’ Gate, comes out Aug. 16 and will include over 150 cards. Alchemists’ Gate Pre-Releases will take place Aug. 4-6. The game is supported with tournaments, leagues, a web site, and a dedicated volunteer corps, and readers of both Scrye and InQuest voted it the best TCG released in 2005.
