A Hero's Passing in short supply

Hanging-tab packs to substitute for booster display boxes

 

Charlotte, NC - May 22, 2006 - Fullmetal Alchemist TCG: A Hero's Passing is shaping up to be the most popular FMA TCG set to date, with retailers and distributors straining to keep up with the demand! Today, JoyRide Entertainment announced that they will need to divert product from their mass-market supply to meet the needs of the hobby industry.

 

"First and foremost, this does not mean that we're out of A Hero's Passing," said Brand Manager Edward Bolme. "Instead, hobby retailers and distributors just might find their configurations changing in the near future as we shift product over from mass to hobby."

 

Starter decks for A Hero's Passing will remain unchanged. However, the 12-count A Hero's Passing booster boxes will soon be replaced by single packs on cardboard backing with a slot for a hanging tab. Such packs are ideal for walls or display racks with tabs, though retailers without such implements who wish to keep their display model can save their empty display boxes, remove the packs from the cardboard backing, and place them in the display boxes. These booster packs have the same insert rates (foil reprint in every pack, chase in 1:24 packs, and transmutated card in 1:80 packs) as standard A Hero's Passing packs.

 

"Despite the difference in packaging, these packs are absolutely identical to the A Hero's Passing packs players have been opening," said Bolme. "Our distributors still have many of the old 12-count boxes in stock, so product shipments over the next few weeks will be a mix of the old and the new. We're very pleased with how well A Hero's Passing has sold and hope to continue that success with Alchemists' Gate!"
