Prizes for FMA TCG
World Championships announced

CHARLOTTE, NC (May 12, 2006) -- Fullmetal Alchemist TCG players have spent all year preparing for the World Championships Aug. 10-13 at Gen Con Indy. Players from all over the world are competing in (and winning) their Sensei's Trials and getting ready to play in their Regional Championships. Today, JoyRide revealed the final piece of the Worlds puzzle, by announcing all the great prizes players can win at the World Championships!

First, there are the FMA TCG product prizes. JoyRide Entertainment will give away four FMA TCG packs per person, on average, at the FMA TCG World Championships. In addition, there will be loads of chases, transmutations, promos, and foil cards given out, at an average of one per person.

The above product prizes are in addition to the Top Finishing Leader Prize. The player who finishes the highest with each leader (15 in all) will win a box of Alchemists' Gate. That's 15 boxes of Alchemists' Gate given out, one each to the player who finishes the highest with each of the leaders legal for Fullmetal Alchemist TCG at the time of the World Championships! The eligible leaders are: Edward Elric, Alphonse Elric, Tim Marcoh, Lust, Envy, Shou Tucker, Alex Louis Armstrong, Roy Mustang, Maes Hughes, Basque Grand, Scar, Psiren, Father Cornello, Mahjal, and Dante.

The most exciting FMA TCG-related prize available to all players is the exclusive preview card from the Seven Deadly Sins expansion. Every player who qualifies and competes at the FMA TCG World Championship will get one copy of The Elric Brothers, The Only Family They've Got from Seven Deadly Sins. The Elric Brothers will include special text indicating that it was given only to players who played in the 2006 FMA TCG World Championships. The top 16 finalists will receive six foil-stamped copies (two play sets) of The Elric Brothers that indicate his or her presence as a finalist, and the World Champion will receive six foil-stamped copies (two play sets) verifying his or her status as the 2006 Fullmetal Alchemist TCG World Champion!

That's not all the top finishers will get, though. Each of the 16 finalists will receive a polo shirt with the FMA TCG World Championship logo, and each of the top eight finalists will receive an attaché bag and trophy with the FMA TCG World Championship logo. The top four finalists will receive a 30 GB iPod (http://www.apple.com/ipod/ipod.html) and a $50 iTunes (http://www.apple.com/itunes/) gift certificate, to load your iPod up with music.

The runner-up at the 2006 FMA TCG World Championships will receive all of the above prizes, plus a Sony PSP (Playstation Portable) (http://www.us.playstation.com/PSP), with a $100 Best Buy (http://www.bestbuy.com) gift certificate, to load up that PSP with games or movies.

Finally, the 2006 Fullmetal Alchemist TCG World Champion will get all of the above prizes, except that the PSP will be replaced with a deluxe XBox 360 (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/xbox360/) and a $100 Best Buy (http://www.bestbuy.com) gift certificate! The World Champion also qualifies for the 2007 FMA TCG World Championship and earns a return flight and paid admission to the 2007 FMA TCG World Championships. In addition, the World Champion will have the privilege of designing a card for an upcoming FMA TCG set and will receive a master set of FMA TCG, including every card printed in 2005 and 2006 (Premier Edition, Blood & Water, Artificial Human, A Hero's Passing, Alchemists' Gate, and Seven Deadly Sins), all promos, foils, chases, transmutations, everything!

The 2006 Fullmetal Alchemist TCG World Championships at Gen Con Indy will be huge! Will you be there?
