Darkness/Water/Fire fix - 2.9.05

Well one of my deck garage fixes for today is a Dark/Water/Fire deck. Here's what the creator has to say...

Hi guys. I'm Justin Florio, you may have seen my posts around this site before or maybe you've met me. Well anyways, Knives, I did send you a deck in like December, and like you said, I have a new deck. The main point of this deck is to keep my opponent's hand and field clear while having both my hand and field full of options. Usually, I would just make people deck out, but I CAN attack if absoultely necessary. I have been having trouble with certain decks, such as other control. Could you try to help me make this deck more devestating to ALL types of decks? Thanks.

Darkness
Horrid Worm x 4
Gregorian Worm x 4
Locomotiver x 2
Chaos Worm x 4
Ghost Touch x 4
Terror Pit x 4
Death Smoke x 4

Fire
Rothus, the Traveler x 4
Crimson Hammer x 4
Tornado Flame x 4

Water
Aqua Hulcus x 4
Aqua Sniper x 2
Aqua Surfer x 2
Crystal Memory x 2
Brain Serum x 4

Well for starters this deck looks really nice. There are two problems that caught my eye when I first saw this deck. The first one is that decking your opponent's out often makes for very long games and is hard to do. Advanced opponents would make surviving for so long very difficult by playing creatures that can attack on the turn that they are summoned (speed attackers, ST creatures, and evolutions). The second is that running a fiftytwo card deck will make your deck pretty inconsistant. I just think it's best to keep all decks down to fourty cards. Especially since a few cards in this deck can easily be thrown out without taking away from your overall strategy. So I'll take out Aqua Sniper, Aqua Surfer, Crystal Memory, Death Smoke, and Ghost Touch. I know that taking out Ghost Touch takes away from your hand kill theme. But running a fifty-two card deck kills your chances of getting a turn two Ghost Touch, followed by a turn three Horrid Worm, and then followed by a turn four Loco. So either way your deck should work the same in the hand kill department. I'm also going to add x2 Loco to make the deck an even 40 cards. So now the deck looks like this...

Darkness
Horrid Worm x 4
Gregorian Worm x 4
Locomotiver x 4
Chaos Worm x 4
Terror Pit x 4

Fire
Rothus the Traveler x4
Crimson Hammer x 4
Tornado Flame x 4

Water
Aqua Hulcus x 4
Brain Serum x 4

Now I've set the deck in layers. You have twenty darkness cards, twelve fire cards, and eight water cards. I only count one card in your deck that can be used on turn two. This means that a Deadly Fighter Braid Claw could really do some damage to your deck. If you get a really bad hand then you might not be able to deal with Claw until it takes three sheilds. So with that in mind
I'm going to take out Locomotiver, and replace it with Emeral. Another card that I think will help you out VS rush is Searing Wave. What would you rather do? Cast Tornado Flames to kill one creature with 4000 power, or cast Searing Wave to kill three-four creatures with 3000 power? So here's the final version of the deck.

Darkness
Horrid Worm x 4
Gregorian Worm x 4
Chaos Worm x 4
Terror Pit x 4

Fire
Rothus the Traveler x4
Crimson Hammer x 4
Searing Wave x4

Water
Aqua Hulcus x 4
Brain Serum x 4
Emeral x4

You will want to stall with this deck until you can kill your opponent in one sweep. Taking sheilds with Horrid Worm is a very very very good idea since there hand doesn't get any bigger. Try to use Emeral to place Terror Pit, and other sheild triggers into the sheild zone. After that it's rothus bait. Use Crimson Hammer to pick off annoying things like Horrid Worm, Slayers, Mist Rias, or Mongrel Man. Don't use Searing Wave until you can either do some major damage or you need to play it to save you the game. Chaos Worm is a very good defensive card. Let's say that your opponent has two creatures in play. One is tapped, and the other is not. Just cast Chaos Worm, kill the untapped creature, and attack the tapped one. You've just killed two birds with one stone. Not bad. Well anyway that's it for now. Sometimes I do this deck garage thing on days other than wednesdays. For instance this week I got some really good submissions. So I'll probably see everybody agian around friday or saterday for another fix up.
