Subject: A few thoughts on the GBA game - Brine

I just got the new Duel Masters Sempai Legends game, and I wanted to share some comments on it.

First of all, the duel interface is pretty well-made. It's highly detailed and easy to use, once you get the hang of it. One of the things I noticed is that you can't see which card your opponent is taking with cards like Crystal Memory or Dimension Gate. That can be a pain. It does show you the power and ability symbols, but no name or picture.

Also, I'm pretty sure that you cannot easily access your graveyard without using recursion cards like Amber Piercer or Dark Reversal. This can sometimes be annoying, if you wanna see which cards are in the graveyard.

The animations are really well-done. I also like the card sprites, although I was a little disappointed how the spells don't have pictures (only symbols based on the civilization picture).

The way they use the symbols to indicate the abilities was very creative and most of the time useful. Although cards with unique abilities (like Aqua Hulcus) don't have icons that I'm pretty sure of.

As for the 5 random cards, I have to say that they are pretty neat, being foil, but some of them could have been better. I don't really like how they put the Atari logo in the back, but I guess they do that for all the promos, so it doesn't really matter.

Rothus the Traveler- Even though we already have a Rothus in foil, this one is alternate art. There's fire coming out from his guns! I thought that was pretty neat.

Night Master, Shadow of Decay- Why him? I don't know of anyone who would use that card. Even the holofoil on him is mediocre: Only the red background is shiny. A Death Smoke or Bone Assassin, the Ripper would have been a better card to use.

Sonic Wing- An okay card, but the beams of light in the background are shiny, and that's pretty cool.

Brain Serum and Bronze-Arm Tribe- These were probably the two best commons in the Water and Nature Civilizations to make into foils, as they are generally the most popular and played commons there. The foil patterns are pretty neat, too. Especially Bronze-Arm Tribe's shiny red eyes.

In conclusion, I thought that it was a good game that will last for a while.
I enjoyed it, and I think that most of you will like it too.
