Here is my grand ole short review of the day:

Round 1: vs. Chris (I believe his name was Chris anyhow. ^^; )

This kid was neat, heck, I talked to him all day. He was playing Water/Darkness. First turn, I got a horrible start, and he got out the Crystal Lancers faster then I could keep my weenies in play, so it was a one sided victory. Second match, I got my little dudes out fast, and he had a horrible start, I clobbered him. Third Match, we both got great starts, but he was able to outplay my squad of weaklings, especially with Terror Pit and Death Smoke, and took me out before I could win. (For a younger kid, he played excellent.)

Rank: 0-1

Round 2: vs. Some person.

I waited...and waited...it was a no show and I got the victory...I was bored, so I went over to the Pokemon Area and talked with my friends.

Rank: 1-1

Round 3: vs. Chris's Mother, the only one of the family I didn't verse was his younger brother.

She was playing...Fire, mixed with Yellow I believe. First round, I got out really fast, possibly caught her off guard, and was able to break through blockers and her shields rather fast for a win, the yellow weenie blockers were a hassle though. Round 2 started with my horrible start, she got out fast, and by the time I could get my little army out, it was pretty much down and out for me, Diamond Cutter got her the win, blockers beat the army this time. Round 3 was pretty neck and neck, but she evolved a blocker into a strong light attacker, so I was able to break a lot of shields with the weenies and win. Searing wave was a HASSLE for me, because it usually cleared out my entire army, but due to her losing a shield, I was usually able to recover fast enough to attack.

Rank: 2-1

Round 4: vs. Eh...I forgot his name, but he made top 8. ^^;

He was playing Water/Nature/Light. First battle, he was able to get a lot of Mana out, and while I was murdering his shields, He recovered them with Mana Nexus and such, needless to say, Nature's mana speed was no match for my little weenie squad. Round 2 began with a slow start for him, and I was able to rush pretty fast, I was lucky too, since no Mana Nexus were in the Shield Zone. Round 3 was neck and neck, as usual for me. He got the fast Mana buildup again, right when I knew I could win, Teleportation got into play and cleared my field up. A Mana Nexus showed up in the shields, and he replaced it with a Holy Awe, after that I knew I was closed to doomed, and I was, when he struck me for the win.

Stats: 2-2

Round 5: vs Someone again.

I waited...Pojo waited..some other person waited...all a bunch of waiting and no one showed for any of us, so another match win I got by having people show up, it was depressing because I REALLY wanted to play.

Stats: 3-2

Overall, 3-2 for my first tournament was amazing for me, and I had a lot of fun playing and meeting new people. I'll definatly be there next year, and hope to improve a lot and make it into the top 8! ^^
