Hooray! My first DM tourney! Not the greatest turnout, but still 
a tourney. Anyways, I was expecting to see some of the more "powerful"
players here today, but unfortunately they either didn't show or 
didn't enter. Such a shame. On to the report!


Round 1:Me vs. Alex

This kid had just started playing a week ago, but was doing really 
well. He knew what deck he wanted to build even before he really 
started playing, and built it fast. Hope he gives me a good match.

Game 1/3:I'll skip ahead to the late game. I was bouncing his cards 
continuously with Corile, but got stuck on Unicorn Fishes. He 
bounced my Barkwhip several times and was getting ready to start 
swinging at my shields. I replayed Barkwhip and took down his last 
3 sheilds with 2 Coriles and Barkwhip. After that it was game over.

Game 2/3:Not too much different. Only this time he didn't get any 
Unicorn Fishes.

Round 2: Me vs. Bobby

This kid had a big fat 60+ card 5-civ deck. Good lord, that isn't 
good.
Fortunately he used mostly black(fun!).

Game 1/3:Once again, skip ahead. By turn 3, I could tell this kid 
was inexperienced. Attacking with Squito, tsk tsk. Anywho, I cleared 
it away 4th turn with Hulcus, And he played Horrid Worm. I had 5 mana 
and played Corile and ended. He played Horrid Worm with another Squito.
I played a mana and used Emeral and Nexus to put Holy awe and Terror 
Pit in my sheilds. I attacked with Corile and was blocked by Squito. 
On his turn he played 2 Bone Spiders and killed the Barkwhip in my 
hand with Horrid. He broke a sheild and I got another Barkwhip. 
I drew Bronze-Arm, played it and Barkwhip, and smahed through his 
last sheild with Barkwhip and winning with Emeral.

Game 2/3:I can't remember this game, but I know I won. Sorry.

Round 3: Me vs. Corey

Pure Black. Hooray! This kid has never beaten me, and now it's kinda 
like a rivalry. He was freaking out because he wanted to win so badly. 
Funny stuff.

Game 1/3:I went first (third time straight), but only played a mana. 
He played Marrow Ooze. I played mana, used Emeral to put Terror Pit 
in my sheilds, and ended. He played Bone Ghoul and broke a sheild with 
Ooze. I played Bronze-Arm and attacked with  Emeral, hitting Ghost Touch 
and losing Holy Awe. He played Bone Spider, and broke my sheild with 
Bone Ghoul, triggering Terror Pit on Bone Spider. I played a Burning 
Mane, evolved to Barkwhip, killed his Bone Ghoul and broke 2 sheilds. 
He played Horrid Worm and Marrow Ooze and ended. I put Terror Pit in 
my mana and activated another from my hand on Horrid. I attacked with 
everything, killing Ooze and smacking him down to 1 sheild.
He couldn't play anything, and I took the win.

Game 2/3:This one was fun. I continuously used Emeral, Nexus, and 
Corile to take complete control. I was swarming all over him and had 
6 sheilds that were all triggers. Ended real fast.

Round 4: Me vs. Corey (Winners Bracket vs. Losers Bracket)

This round was no different than the first one against him. I didn't 
get into that control situation, though. :(

So I swept the tournament and bought some packs, not getting anything 
good.
Argh.
