Top 10 Water Cards (as of the Base Set) - by Exploding Pidgeons It's that time again -- Another Top 10 List. This time it's Water / Blue...... So without further adieu, here is the Top 10 Water Civilization Cards!! (#10) VIRTUAL TRIPWIRE: Pay 3 mana, tap a creature. That's almost equivalent to getting it off the field, since once it's tapped you can just run over it and Break a couple dozen Shields. There's not much to say about it except it's Holy Awe minus five for half the mana. (#9) SEAMIME: I dont like this card but there's not a whole lot I can pick from in Blue cards from the Base Set. 6 mana for 4000 is a horrible ratio, but he can attack. Still, for a Very Rare card he really sucks. Kind of sad he's #9 on the list...... (#8) AQUA HULCUS: Yeah, he's only 2000, but the fact he gives you a free draw is great. He's especially good in the early game when you need as many resources as you can to get your offense going. (#7) TELEPORTATION: Teleportation is like Spiral Gate times two. Get rid of 2 creatures for 4 mana. While not as cheap as Spiral Gate, IMO, Teleportation still is pretty darn good at what it does. It would be a good addition to almost any Blue deck, alongside a couple Spiral Gate. ^_^ (#6) HUNTER FISH: Seems like Blue is good at Blocking, dont you think? a 2-for-3 ratio of mana- to-power is pretty good. Plus, who doesnt like Blockers? (#5) MARINE FLOWER: The La Ura Giga of Blue. Nice Blocking power, and he's horrifyingly cheap. The best part about him is that you can get him out on the first turn. Slap him down and you have instant protection.......And the fact that he has 2000 power is a VERY good mana-to-power ratio. Plus, 2000 can keep you safe from those blasted Deadly Fighter Braid Claws. Grrrr. (#4) SPIRAL GATE: It's so cheap, in both senses of the word. 2 mana to get a creature out of the way? Very nice, especially since it doesnt matter how powerful the creature is.....Just Spiral Gate him off into oblivion. Of course, there's always the danger that the opponent will just slap him back down the next turn, but ehh, if you get it out of the way long enough to Break 2 or 3 Shields, then it's worth it. (#3) BRAIN SERUM: Draw 3 cards? For a mere 4 mana? Why, thank you, kind Brain Serum! You just gave me +3 Hand Advantage, thanks a bunch!........Really, who wouldn't play this card. Perhaps if you didnt see the importance of card advantage in this game, you wouldn't think too much of this thing, but Brain Serum is one of the most useful Spells in the game right now. (#2) CRYSTAL MEMORY: Man, the Blue Spells are ridiculously useful. Get any card you want from your deck, period, for only 4 mana. Considering the advantage slogging through your deck to find the perfect card you need would give you, Crystal Memory should be an almost-Staple in all Blue decks, for the same reason as Brain Serum. Card Advantage is the most important thing in any CCG, I cant stress that enough. (#1) KING DEPTHCON: Well, duh. Arguably the best card right now in Blue, King Depthcon is friggin' great! Cant be blocked, and has Double Breaker, which means that if he's on the board for 3 turns, you can Break up to 6 Shields, which means an automatic win.
